Bethlehem Christmas Defies Israel

Despite chocking Israeli restrictions, preparations are in full swing in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, to celebrate Christmas.

“We want to bring joy to the hearts of our people,” Bethlehem municipal chief Victor Batarsa told IslamOnline.net on Saturday, December 20.

…But the Christmas joy is marred by the crippling Israeli restrictions in the occupied city.

“The Israeli occupation is determined to destroy our celebrations,” Batarsa said.

"The city is suffering under siege with Israeli checkpoints installed at the city’s entrances.

“There are also daily incursions, settlement expansion not to mention arrests and house demolitions.”

The separation wall Israel is building is also adding to the suffering of Bethlehem residents.

The barrier, a mix of electronic fences and concrete walls, isolated the city from Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem), confiscated farm land, uprooted olive trees, and helped to quicken emigration and keep unemployment at more than 50 percent.

In the past , Jews were blessed & cursed by God . If u read Quran , u will be surprised to find out how Jewish , Christians & Muslims holy book have similarities about describing Jews.

Anyway , the point is Jews have no monopoly over God’s mercy . Anyone can submit himself/herself to God & can be blessed 🙂

Then why did you, yourself, give a condition of “if they accept Jesus and Muhammad”. Loving others need no condition whatsoever, brother. If you are truthful with your word, you should not add any condition of regarding others as brothers in humanity. BTW, I know you quite a long time from your writing, which make me believe that you are not that kind of person.
 
I have read all the posts by the Muslims about loving Christians and Jews if they accept Jesus and Muhammad as prophets. I do not accept the above statement. I accept Jesus as the Son of God of the Blessed Holy Trinity and I do not accept Muhammad as a prophet of God. Now, can we still live together in peace? What would be your treatment/feelings toward me knowing how I feel and believe?

That would create even more love; it would be a bonus. Have you any objection if the Jews accept Jesus for instance? Don’t you think that if Jews accept Jesus, your love for them would be on a higher level than before? I think you understand now.

I would just look at this and know that the OP is justified in coming out with this thread.

Christians do not accept Mohammad as true messenger of God. Many Christians, maybe not all, but many Christians think that Mohammad was a false prophet.

Jews do not accept both Jesus and Mohammad as God’s Messengers.

Therefore according to you these groups fall into the category, which you are up against.

Jesus ordered the Christian to love other people regardless of race, religion, skin color, hair color, shape of the nose, educational background, geographical condition, economic situation, age, gender, and you name it.

No, I don’t understand why having the same acceptance of a particular prophet(s) must determine the level of love of one another. It seems to me that the standard of love taught by Jesus is greater than the standard of love taught by others, including by your ProphetMessenger.

once a Muslim & a Jew came to Prophet Muhammed (p) about a dispute . Prophet gave verdict on behalf of the Jew. I wonder , how many Jews or even Muslims know about this ?

A non-Muslim lady used to put thrones in the path of the Prophet . One day , he did not notice any such thing . He thought something must be wrong with the old lady.
