Why do non catholics dislike Mother Mary?

I don’t understand what your gripe is with her. She isn’t proclaiming to speak within Roman Catholic doctrine and dogma obviously.
 
Please, understand my concern as a sister in Christ. You are not doing your spiritual life any good. You cannot be both Catholic and Protestant. Something must change.

I was a devout deeply practicing cradle Catholic for almost 35 years and I know what the Roman Catholic church teaches. I left because of what I knew, not because of a distortion of what I thought I knew. I don’t believe that this is the case here either.

Are you aware of the horrible crimes committed by protestants? Do you know the punishment for not going to church in the early American settlements? The Puritan settlements. He who lives in glass houses should not throw stones.

Yes, but she calls herself Catholic! It is like saying, “I am against abortion and all it stands for, and will try to do whatever it takes to get people not to have them, but tomorrow I am scheduled to get an abortion myself.” It doesn’t make any sense.

You and others only defend her because you agree with her.
Other Catholics have been frustrated with her, and she has most likely not seen their best side, and so she turns to those who have agreed with her and will comfort her.

I am very sorry about that. I, myself, could never walk away from Jesus in His True and Living Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. Once more, I am sorry.

Besides the debate on whether or not tweet is representing the church as she should, have the others gotten a better grasp of what Catholics do believe in terms of Mary?

This is the most shocking thing about this person. I’d be interested to know what parish she is teaching in. And can only pray that she is teaching what the Catholic Church teaches and that it isn’t her point of view especially about birth control. She is so contrary to the Catholic Church in her views I am just shocked to hear this. I am happy to see other Catholics here that have her number. And can hopefully make her understand. I am also glad that at least in this thread she has finally stopped calling herself a Catholic in her bio.

What happens if your baptist minister starts teaching Mormon doctrine, or Seventh Day Adventism mixed in with baptist teaching…are you gonna call him out on it, or are you going to pat him on the back for “having a mind of his own?”

The issue here is integrity. And leading others astray.
