In the beginning DH and i have gotten looks as well, but we do try to stay out of people’s way by sitting in the back at the end by the wall. We still get looks now and then though. I remember seeing a new guy that came to mass recently. He too would get looks and he stopped showing up to massPeople get mad at us so that we can show God how patient we are.
It is a great gift from God when someone is angry with us. It gives us an opportunity to practice charity in spite of the person’s anger toward us. It is an opportunity to show God how much we love him. That it happens at Mass, during reception of Holy Communion, makes it even more so.
