Israel has just declared a ceasefire with the following terms (needless to say Hamas has rejected any ceasefire) 🤷
  1. IDF to cease fire
  2. Soldiers to stay in place they are in Gaza city right now
  3. See what Hamas and Egyptians do
  4. Israel to evaluate the situation
  5. Israel to withdraw troops if situation satisfactory.
Israeli’s are protesting against the ceasefire. I am very disappointed that the immediate release of Gilad Shilat is not the prime starting point for any cease fire - for Hamas to show goodwill. :mad:

This is an interesting situation. The Israeli’s just signed an agreement with the United States to stop the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. In reality, I think this is the ceasefire you declare when you know there will not be a ceasefire as you have no partner for peace.
