If you where to gather together all the pastors of those 30000 so called denomanations that you Catholics like to say there are, that is if you could actualy find 30,000 of them, but you can’t, I think that of the few, 5 or 6, that you might be able to find, that they would be pretty much in agreement on their interpertations of the Bible.
Be honest that 30,000 number is a lot of bologna
Really? Some claim OSAS , some do not. Some say there is a trintity, some do not. Some beleive that worshipping on Sunday is the sign of the beast, some say women can be ordained, some say abortion is OK, some say homosexual behavior is normal.Yet all claim to being guided by the Spirit, all read the same Bible. How do you reconcile these diffrerences?

I do agree and have actually proven that within my own community. There are many churches in my area. All different denoms. The baptist church is in total agreement with the non-denom I go to now.

I know several pastors from different churches that I can go to when I have a question that may come up here. I have, in the past asked them questions and surprise surprise they all said the same thing. 👍 I would say it is about 4(I didnt include my other 2 pastors since they are in the same church.😉 ) plus all the people on this forum whom I spoke with from all over the world who apparently believe the same things. OHH and plus all the born again christian friends I have that go to other churches all over my state. We actually agree as well.🤷

Go figure:shrug: I would say ,from experience we are not all that different as catholics may want to believe we are(protestants that is).😉

There are many denoms that are really falling away from NT teaching. It is sad but true. I would most certainly say that churches that do not follow the Trinity, that say abortion is ok and homosexuality is ok and women being ordained is ok are not being led by the HS. They can say they are but if they are so clearly going against biblical principles then they are not.

We can only tell by someones actions.😉

I might add that there are many older catholics that feel Vatican II was the church caving in on their beliefs:shrug: I dont know enough about it to make a comment one way or the other. My in-laws ,however, think the CC made a huge mistake. These are devout catholics.

The point is people who speak out against the CC or the protestant churches arent necessarily lying. They believe in what they are saying. You can disagree with them but it doesnt mean they are lying. Anymore then I think catholic apologists are lying. I dont—I disagree with them but they honestly truly think they are right as do we.🤷

None of this surprises me, really. The entire non-denominational movement is simply a new marketing technique for the Baptist churches…same product/ new, improved packaging. There is a thread here speaking to the fact that many Baptist churches are changing their signs to unclear names such as “The Family Church” here in my town.

Call yourself what you will, but if you talk like a Baptist and walk like a Baptist…you’re probably a Baptist (not that there is anything wrong with that) 👍

God bless.

Ok, so everybody seems to have drawn a ‘line in the sand’, so to speak. A place where they can say “beyond this belief lies heresy”. But what about the people that have drawn lines that YOU have crossed? Couldn’t they say the same of YOUR church? And why do you feel it is OK to condemn perfectly nice people on the other side of your own line?

Such is the shifting sand of the ‘reformation’: No rock, no foundation for truth to be built upon, no reason to believe anything is absolute. 😦

They are going against Biblical prinicples per your ***personal ***interpertation of Scriture. Per there personal interpertation of sciputre you are going against biblical principles yet you boht claim t be guided by the Spriit. Hw can that be?

I thought you could tell becuase you were receiviang *personal * guidance from the the Spirit ?

Not devout enough , evidiently, to know what transpired at Vatican II.There were no changes in matters of faith or maoralsat Vatican II. no teachnings were changed. What are they upset about?

It doesnt matter whether theybeleive what they are saying or not. We either follow the Truth or we do not. Christ founded a Church so that we wouldnt have the mass confusion we see in those who have rejected his Church.

I will not condemn them so to speak–just say they are teaching false doctrines and leading people away from the truth.😦

They are going against Biblical prinicples per your ***personal ***
I agree and I for one am happy I found that church and that I am part of that church(Body of Christ). AMEN!!👍 Thank you God for saving me from eternal damnation:gopray2:

Before you get all crazy on me–you know we have different definitions of who the church is.😉 So no need to go down that road.😉

And you base this conclusion on what?
DUHH look at the episcopal church:eek: Which BTW I have to go to a service in Aug. with my mom. She will just not leave. It is all she has ever known.

I base this on biblical truth.🤷 I dont know why you need to ask me these questions when you believe the same way.🤷

I guess you are trying to bait me or back me into a corner.😦

How do YOU determine Biblical Truth?

The point is that you claim all Protestants agree, because you are self-selecting a group of Protestants who agree with you. It’s like saying, “All dogs are poodles, because only poodles count as dogs.”

Well, I dont determine biblical truth–God does since He wrote it and He alone determined it.
I am just trying to figure it out by studying what it says. IT IS NOT EASY—but- I just trust and rely on the HS to guide me and teach the right way to go. So far so Good:thumbsup:

When I have a question because Im stuck I do go to my pastor and I tell him what I think the passage means and he either tells me Im correct or he explains in further detail or corrects me.

After all, God did give us spiritual leaders to help us as well. My ministers are much more mature in Christ then I am. Plus, they have studied the entire bible–I have not.

I am just searching for the truth. When I come upon a belief that doesnt line up with the bible or totally goes against the bible then I cannot believe it as truth.👍

Dont you feel the same way?

Hi,

No, Im sorry I dont think we all agree . What I said is that there is probably much more agreeing then disagrreing. More then the CC would like to admit.🙂

I think most are actually ignorant about history and when they speak of the history their local pastor gives and believe to be true, it can be taken as a lie.

If they know Christian history, they would become Catholic.

Ok, the HS just told me that personal interpretation of scripture is not scriptural.

What say yea to the Lord and Giver of Life? 😃
