[Protestants and Catholics are all the body of Christ!/QUOTE]
No. Protestants have left the Body of Christ and went on their own.

You disagree with your church.
Oops. My bad.Read Lumen Gentium and Unitatis Redentigratio.
Well, the most obvious answer here is that Jesus Christ and the church of Jesus Christ are separate entities.I have a question for Protestants, why do you separate Jesus Christ and His Church?
Jesus identifies himself with His Church.Well, the most obvious answer here is that Jesus Christ and the church of Jesus Christ are separate entities.
The answer below by a Protestant might help clear up why Catholics “try to say” we separate the Church when we are all one Body of Christ. Protestants (just to clarify, not all Protestants) themselves claim that the two are separate:Protestants and Catholics are all the body of Christ! Its like an arm and a leg are seperate parts of the body but are all part of one body! I dont know why Catholics try to say we seperate the Church when we all are one body of Christ!
The Catholic Church sees the bride (The Church) as inseparable from the spouse (Jesus Christ). This analogy should make sense to the Catholic where matrimony is a bond that does not break, nor can it be. Once it is bonded, it remains forever. It is a Sacramental reality between a man and a woman. It is also a reality when it comes to Jesus Christ and the Church.Well, the most obvious answer here is that Jesus Christ and the church of Jesus Christ are separate entities.
@Mannyfit and others from Catholic perspective:
Why is it arrogant? Christ said he would send the Holy Spirit to instruct His Church not every Church established by men. IF the Holy Spirit instructed Protestant Churches then we would all have the same beliefs. Also, whoever said, sorry I forgot, that the Holy Spirit is not working in the Protestant Church, rather an arrogant answer, wouldn’t you say? Who are we to assume God isn’t working in the souls of Protestants? The Catholic church doesn’t teach that.
Christ did not establish His Church only to have it divided into separate communities with different beliefs and worship.
Also because Protestants have no Apostolic Succession they cannot rightfully claim to be “Churches”. They can only claim to be “communities”. There is only One Church.
I’m not sure you’re thinking through what you’re saying. Was the Holy Spirit instructing the Catholic Church when the Bishops condemned Joan of Arc? Was the Holy Spirit instructing the Church during the Spanish Inquisition? The Church is made up of people. Are you saying the Holy Spirit is not working in the souls of Protestants making them holy? Are you saying the Holy Spirit was working in the Church when the Pope and Bishops were accepting bribes for indulgences before Luther broke with Rome? Why is it arrogant? Christ said he would send the Holy Spirit to instruct His Church not every Church established by men. IF the Holy Spirit instructed Protestant Churches then we would all have the same beliefs.

In my Baptist days I would say the Church was made up of born-again believers in Christ. Believers meaning anyone who believed in their heart that Jesus Christ was their Lord and Saviour and confessed it with their mouths. Those were the basic actions of the born-again experience. That of course left out a lot of other belief requirements, but that was all it took to become part of Christ’s Church. So once you said the “sinner’s prayer” you became part of Christ’s Body - the “Church”. Also, most Baptists I knew considered the other Protestant Churches to be part of the Body of Christ as well, despite having dissimilar belief systems. As long as someone believed in Jesus they were part of the Body of Christ. This means a member of the Methodists church – which “was a founding member of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice in 1973” (LINK). and “supports the right of all persons to have access to a wide range of reproductive health services including sexuality education, family planning services, contraception, abortion services, affordable and quality health and child care” – could still claim to be a Christian and be part of the Body of Christ. What is the Protestant understanding of “Church”?
I think someone needs to review his history a little more carefully…Was the Holy Spirit instructing the Catholic Church when the Bishops condemned Joan of Arc? Was the Holy Spirit instructing the Church during the Spanish Inquisition? The Church is made up of people. Are you saying the Holy Spirit is not working in the souls of Protestants making them holy? Are you saying the Holy Spirit was working in the Church when the Pope and Bishops were accepting bribes for indulgences before Luther broke with Rome?
Then you disagree with the Catholic Church? Because last I checked the Catholic Church does not teach it is impossible to get to heaven if one is not Catholic. The Church is not invisible - we don’t have invisible people. The Church is visible. It consists of members of the Catholic Church. If you belong to another Church, you have removed yourself from the Church Christ established.
CCC said:1257 The Lord himself affirms that Baptism is necessary for salvation.60 He also commands his disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all nations and to baptize them.61 Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.62 The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are “reborn of water and the Spirit.” God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments.
1258 The Church has always held the firm conviction that those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ. This Baptism of blood, like the desire for Baptism, brings about the fruits of Baptism without being a sacrament.
1259 For *catechumens *who die before their Baptism, **their explicit desire to receive it, together with repentance for their sins, and charity, assures them the salvation that they were not able to receive through the sacrament. **
1260 **“Since Christ died for all, and since all men are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partakers, in a way known to God, of the Paschal mystery.”**63 **Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of his Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved. **It may be supposed that such persons would have desired Baptism explicitly if they had known its necessity.
I have heard Catholics say that protestants say that…I am still pondering the OP. I have never heard of this. Been a Protestant all of my life, too.![]()

You know what the visible Church is, the invisible Church consists of SOME of those in the visible church and some of those NOT in the visible Church but who are right with God.
Syele;3124821:
Thank you.ALL those in the Visible Church will not be in heaven and all those not in the visible church are not damned to hell. Therefore there is an “invisible” Church as well as a visible one. Just because you do not use the term, doesn’t make it non-existent.
I disagree 100% and I cant believe you would say something like this, It makes a bad name for Catholics and makes them seem like they are the only ones going to Heaven and that couldnt be farther from the truth. How could a loving God like we have send people to hell for loving HIM and following HIM just because they werent in the Catholic Church? No. Protestants have left the Body of Christ and went on their own.
You misunderstand what VWcrazy means. Then you disagree with the Catholic Church? Because last I checked the Catholic Church does not teach it is impossible to get to heaven if one is not Catholic.

When I became a member of the Russian Orthodox Church in America, the first thing they said to me was, “welcome home, your’e now in the “true” Church, the ancient church of the first Christians, and the church fathers.”Does it believe what 1st century Christians can be historically shown to believe?
No. Protestants have left the Body of Christ and went on their own.
As a Catholic, it would be a fair statement to disagree with the statement taken at face value, but I could also agree with the statement at face value. In other words, I disagree with the statement, but not 100%.I disagree 100% and I cant believe you would say something like this, It makes a bad name for Catholics and makes them seem like they are the only ones going to Heaven and that couldnt be farther from the truth. Answer: He wouldnt!
