I’m not attackint your church. I am just trying to find out why you believe such things as you about the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, the immaculate comception of Mary, Purgatory and the Papacy when none of those things are taught in Scriptures. Is it because some of the early church fathers told you to???
Pullleeeze. What part of “Tradition” don’t you understand, still, OS? It’s been explained ad nauseum, and yes, we all know, that you don’t accept it. 🙂

What’s with this preoccupation with the early Church Fathers? Our understanding of God is open to new insights as we uncover new philosophy, make new scientific discovery, and increase our knowledge of our own human nature. Our Catholic Doctrine is open to clarification, not restricted only to what the early Church Fathers and what scripture have to say.

Deposit of Faith, Apostles, the Kerygma, the mustard seed, it GROWS, it produces fruit, it does not stay stagnant. The word, the seed GROWS. It must grow (Parabel of the Sower). The Church, the teachings develop, as our understanding grows. It is not meant to be put in a box and kept intact.
Mark 4:30-33:
The Parable of the Mustard Seed
30Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. 32Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.”
33With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand. 34He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything. NIV
What did he explain to his disciples? The interpretation of the parables in Mark 4?
Luke 13:18-20:
The Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast
18Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches.”
20Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount[a] of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
The kingdom of God is here, it is now:
Mark 1:2-3:
As it is written in Isaiah the prophet:
“(C)BEHOLD, I SEND MY MESSENGER AHEAD OF YOU,
WHO WILL PREPARE YOUR WAY;
3(D)THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS,
‘MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD,
MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT.’”

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
Mathew refers to the “kingdom” in every single chapter.
Lord's Prayer:
Thy kingdom come
We are call to produce fruit, (fruit contains seed) to BE the word of God, to BE his Kingtom, to be the seed.
Matthew 21:43:
“Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.”
