Precisely! At least two health-share networks are sponsors of Catholic Answers.
No government.Look on the CA home page.
I find certain things insulting as well. For one the assumption that all persons labeled with left leanings are pro-choice. Not so. We are not single issue voters though and many of us recognize that there is a difference between prolife and simply “anti-abortion”…Even DACA is a prolife issue. At least Pope Francis seems to believe that as well…Yes indeed, life issues must be addressed between birth and death, which just might include the church’s teaching on the right to migrate to leave bitter conditions and pursue a better life. My goodness, this concept goes back to the Old Testament, look to Israel suffering in Egypt. Catholics should understand this most clearly I would think, they are basic dignity issues.Well, whatever you are, your insinuation that conservatives aren’t familiar with Church teachings on social justice is incredibly insulting. I am quite familiar with them, and I believe that conservative ideals do a better job of actually helping the poor than other groups’ ideals. I am also very familiar with the church’s social justice doctrines as they pertain to life issues, which is honestly the biggest reason every Catholic should vote against the left.
I believe there are better ways than allowing government to again fail at solving these issues. Government fails at almost all issues, and when it is successful, it due to being able to throw so much money at an issue that it has to work. No, I’m a real person, albeit who is very interested in politics. I wanted to ask why some Catholic lean more “right” on issues like care for the poor, the environment, health care and immigration to name some.
Please note the above post RCIAGraduate ^^^^It is not unusual for the “right” (since we’re marginalizing/and labeling) to believe the government is incompetent, except of course when it comes to big military which is most ironic. It is one of the areas government has been most incompetent. We’re the only nation to have dropped an atomic bomb on another nation…This went far beyond even the Old Testament “an eye for an eye”…The concept of small government and big military has never ceased to amaze me.I believe there are better ways than allowing government to again fail at solving these issues. Government fails at almost all issues, and when it is successful, it due to being able to throw so much money at an issue that it has to work.
You can look up and research the Galveston County Plan, … there used to be a GREAT paper on it, but the economic Web site with that and a lot of other great stuff went off the air.I did not know that. Interesting.
I know there are other alternatives - Postal Service, military pension, etc. that are for government jobs. I believe railroad employees have a separate plan that is controlled by the government.
