You are conflating some things that are apples and oranges. Fact is, if you support the Democratic Party, you are supporting an organization that is foursquare in support of abortion.
We all have stuff about the parties and candidates we support that we don’t like. And if we support independents, we have to realize that our vote is like an arrow shot in the air. So the choices are:
As it is, I know that I go the other way causes me to support things I don’t agree with. But I have the guts to own it.

- Decide that pro- or anti- abortion is not as important as other things our party choice supports.
- Not cast a vote at all, or not cast one that will actually matter.
