Why do some non-cathloics not have Baptism for infants

I don’t disagree with you that all infants that die are in the hands of God; I’m just not certain where the Bible says this. Can you tell me what chapter and verse?
You have reminded us that Jesus does not reject children. Then you tell us He wants them to be baptized. I agree with the first part; end of story – answer to your question to me.
What??? I absolutely DO NOT have a hard time with God’s grace and mercy extending to ALL infants without baptism. That’s part of the teaching of the CC.
Then why do they need to be baptized?
Why would you even say that after what I just posted?
Because your position seems inconsistant. Please don’t be mad for me sharing what appears to be true.

What it means is that if God has mercy, grace and love for infants and will do what’s right for them, we take over for God to make sure God will be merciful, gracious and loving to infants by baptizing them.
It is your belief that it is right. Again D the human ideal of fairness does not equal divine justice. We are sinners, fallen. Or do you not believe that, “all have sinned”? God owes it to no one to save them. God is just, we are sinners.

God bless

If I understand you, I agree. I’m not sure how this directly responds to what I’ve said here in correction of my viewpoint.

I expected that D. BTW D you seem very defensive today. Bad day?

God bless you
I get asked questions. I respond as I can. The only defense is to try to make clear my understanding of the Bible and what people like you are communicationing.

As for the day:

Ps 118:24 “This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

There’s no such thing as a ‘bad’ day; each day is a gift from God. What we do with it may be correct and glorifying to God or bad.

You believe that it is “right” that God would save infants. What I am telling you is that God would be perfectly right and just to send infants to their damnation. God is just, we are fallen sinners even infants. With those two facts, would He be unjust or wrong to not save infants? A just God dealing with sinners? Unless you do not believe “all have sinned”. God does not owe it to infants, adults, men or women to save them.

God bless you

Excellent D, so you just naturally come off as defensive 😉

Try to lighten up. Know who’s you are 👍

I thank God for His grace, mercy and love. I thank Him He became a Human, lived perfect, died sinless for all sinful and was raised from the dead.

That’s the best I can do.

Or you naturally feel people that disagree with you, by answering your questions, are defensive.😃
Nah, that’s not it. I am a married police officer, nobody agrees with me. I wouldn’t make it through the day if I believed what you suggest 👍

God bless you

I just wanted to talk a little about types of baptism and possibly which one is refered to as a saving baptism.

There are many “baptisms” out there. Other religions have one, some are practiced differently then others.

Which Baptism is directly corelated to salvation?

Water baptism OR spiritual (supernatural) baptism?

Ok lets establish something here:

Acts 1:3-5
3He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
4And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; 5for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Matthew 3:11
"I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Mark 1:8
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

Mark 1:8
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

John 1:33
I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

How here is a Prime example that saving “baptism” is **not **water but holy spirit and supernatural.

Acts 11:13-18
14he will declare to you a message by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’ 15As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning. 16And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?" 18When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

Now looking into the other verses linked to this one, we see that there is water baptsim; however, is THAT baptism the saving one. Jesus doesn’t say unless someone is baptized by water and spirit and believes they cannot enter heaven.

We see in Acts 8:34-40 there was clearly a conversion first.
Acts 10:44-48 we see the holy spirit baptsim first.

Like I said, I don’t deny water baptsm but it doesn’t hinder the holy spiirt nor salvation.

Which one do you believe is the most likely to be baptism linked to salvation?

Water (physical)
Holy Spirit (supernatural)

I respect that, you and I share those beliefs. That doesn’t however, change the fact that God in no way would be unjust or wrong in not saving infants. We hope that, in His mercy and love and His desire that all men be saved, He would save infants but, in the end, we are sinners and He is just.

God bless you

I got goose bumps reading that statement

My guess is that God holds Himself to His word. Romans 13:8 tells us to owe nothing but love. Do these two sentences tell us God owes us His love?

As a police officer, Romans 13 is among my favorite verses. I even quoted it to a pastor that I had stopped who told me that I had no authority:
for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; he is the servant of God to execute his wrath on the wrongdoer. Rom 13: 4
In this case my “sword” was my pen. He did not fight the ticket 😃

Scripture is telling us to love one another because by loving our neighbor we “fulfill the law”.
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Verse 5 also talks about avoiding “God’s wrath”

Also in the context of that verse from Romans, it appears to be speaking about authorioty, debt etc.

God hates sin and as hard as it may seem to understand, infants are born in a fallen and sinful state.

God bless you

Jesus accepted children. That’s good enough for me.

So it’s you that is defensive. Now we’re getting somewhere.😃
Not defensive, its “situational awareness”. It, and the Grace of God, is what brings me home every night.

Besides I know it’s you who is defensive because I won the coin toss and elected to recieve. 😉

God bless you

10-4 D, that is what is amazing about God’s love. We do nothing to deserve it and, in fact, we deserve quite the opposite. It is not unjust or wrong for a just God to deal with sinful and fallen creatures.

God bless
