Thong- a bathing suit or underwear that is very thin and strappy
Thong- a type of sandal consisting of one strap, joined to the sandal at 3 points, one between the toes
 
WellI know that, I’m not under a rock. But they were talking about some guy wearing speedos on a thread about shoes.
I’m out. My shoes were mentioned, that’s all for me.

Ahh sorry. Did not understand if you were serious or joking. Several Youtube channels make tons of money off laughing at people who don’t know the cultural difference in words.
