Then what right do we have to tell people they can’t shop there? What has walmart done wrong?
We have every right to tell people that Walmart is wrong. CPA2’s fine explanation above about the lack of business ethics in Communist China hits the nail on the head.

I think that’s what a lot of well-meaning “socialists” really care about - business ethics. Deep down, few of them really know anything about genuine socialist theory, especially as formulated by people like Marx and Lenin - and many of them would not sympathize with them if they did know.

We can tell them it’s wrong sure, but if people don’t care about Walmart’s means, they are welcome to shop there. If the population truely disapproved of a company, that company would have to change or it would die.

I come from a country which according to Wickipedia has a flawed Democracy.I am not sure what this means. Some people call this system Neo Socialism. Some years back we started off as a socialist country with the take over of private enterprise and a large number of flourishing enterprises were vested in the State. The fault with this system is that ineffciency creeps into the system. In vested enterprises one is assured of a daily wage and motivation for hard work is minimal. There is indiscipline and in the socialist framework particulaly in the developing countries termination of employment is not easy.In course of time since the promising enetrprises all showed losses a syatem of devesting took place and most these companies went to the private sector. Some still remain with the Government. On the side of media freedom there are state run Newspapers side by side with private newspapers.Freedom to practise ones religion is assured and since this is a multireligous society is most welcome.Having experienced Socialism I would opt for a system which provides opportunities for enterprises to develop themselves with least interference from the State. In Socialism the State could interfere and may not balance the scales evenly and could favour people or organisations partial the the State.
