Christians Believe that because of Adam and Eve’s sin that we are all born sinners this is the teaching of the church and has been for two thousand years. Jesus came for sinners.

It is very sinful to live with another person of the opposet sex without being married Unless they of course are family. Using the fear of divorce as an excuse to live unmarried with someone is unacceptable. The church does say it is wrong and unlawful but apparently not every christian listens to the truth when it contradicts what they want.

You make an assumption that these people who are living together not married are really following Catholic teachings. They are not.
I cannot speak for the morality of Europeans as far as being loyal to the magisterium Catholics as I live in the US. But I do know that in the Catholic Church we believe cohabiting couples are living a sinful life. It has become a trend to have “trial marriages” in many places. But the Church does not condone or authorize it.
I do not know why on earth the Pope kissed the Koran. he had a good reason I am sure. But it was not because he believes what it says. At any rate if he kissed the Koran it was probably a mistake. He may not have known that was what he held. He may have been trying to foster good will. It actually may NOT have even been a Koran for all we know or he knew. At any rate JP II while he is surely a saint, was also human and could make mistakes when not promulgating teachings on faith and morals as given to him by the Holy Spirit.

Back to Islam. It is probably much easier in Islamic countries to get a divorce from a woman you wish to put away. So it is certainly more convenient to marry until you tire of her. In other places it is more difficult to divorce. So people wrongly decide to live together without the benefit or blessing of the Church so that should they separate they will not have to file for a lengthy, expensive divorce. Lousy reasoning but there it is.

** HMJ, I fully agree with you. That is exactly what I meant. Some christians do not obey the church commands. They should try to be a loyal, pious, good christian. The more they would study the bible and the more they attend the church services, the better they will be. That is what we Muslims want them to do. i.e. to live a good happy life according to the dictates of the church and be a good christian. I have nothing against any Jew or Christian.

And I do not want to amend any of their rules / beliefs. They can have for themselves what they like. I would nver think of injuring any one of any faith.**

I’ve only been hear for a while but I can tell you right now that the period of abuse towards Islam and the prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is definitely not over.

**Zaki, it is definitely reduced. It is not as it used to be in the past. Whereas these Catholics should present something good to us from their bibleNT, they try to abuse our prophet or they try to find faults in our religion. That is not preaching.

I seem to feel that the abuse has reduced very much even though not disappeared fully. It is tolerable. It is perhaps due to the moderators strictness or due to some good faithful catholics coming on the scene and telling the Truth about islam about the true principles of church. There are some factors working to bring about the reduction in the abuse of our religion, i.e. Islam**.
