The people who live in Israel are mostly Jewish. The national religion of Israel is Judaism, and they have a “no tolerance” policy towards other religions. That’s why they have been expelling the Christians and Muslims (also called the Palestinians, since that region used to be called Palestine) who used to live there, ever since Israel was established in the 1940s.

There are also Jewish people living in every other country in the world, including the USA, but that does not mean that the USA is a “Jewish nation” - far from it.

Good thing you discovered this “hidden knowledge” that God has kept secret from the rest of the world. You ever heard of the Gnostics? I really think you have some things in common. Yes, God does love you, but he loves everyone else too. He would not keep the entire world in darkness of his truth. The New Covenant was to be spread to the whole world and to include both Jews and Gentiles, so that ALL could come to the knowledge of the truth. For this reason, Christ commissioned his apostles and gave them authority over the Church, and they spread his truth and hand picked others to continue their mission. The gates of hell cannot prevail against this Church that Christ founded. Not a church of hidden knowledge only consisting of a select few, but a Catholic (“universal”) Church to which all people are obliged to enter, though most do not. What do you make of the fact that Christ explicitly said that “few will be saved”? There are more references to hell in Scripture than there even are of heaven. But I’m guessing you have to disregard the Scriptures or at least explain them away since they do not agree with your own personal theories. .
Question? Up and until Abraham, was there any knowledge of who or what God was?
Would you say it was hidden?

Enter: Jesus of prophecy

Now, the world is granted the secret of who or what God is.
Prior to that He was just “I am”.

But Jesus demonstrated who God is by His love for mankind, unconditionally.

That is what the whole bible is about.

Gods name to us is Jesus.

Mat 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Speaking of which, where did you get these ideas from? Did you come up with them on your own or did you learn them from somewhere else? I mean no disrespect. I’d just like to know what is the source of your ideas>>>una fides
I sought after answers to my many questions in prayer and meditations as God searched my heart and gave me the path to take to arrive there.

I’ll credit some friends who came by my place to discuss certain spiritual issues with determined attitudes of conquering to their point of view:

my upbringing experiences including the Catholic Church, the Baptist Church, the non-denomination churches:

books on end time scenarios, the Jewish bible, the Matthew Henry commentary edition, studies in Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witness, Seventh day Adventist, occult beliefs:

And observations of current events on the religious world which reflect the spiritual conditions of the management.

All that has brought me to my current understandings and one in which I am greatly honored to have, because it has opened up a new world of understanding the reasons for the diversity of the worlds religions.

Before, I saw it through my own eyes and my own understanding and in which brought division.
Now, I see it through Gods eyes as He sees us and see unity in the spirit of love.

To me there are no differences with respect to the souls of mankind, for they were/are/will be and are all purchased with the blood of Christ.

If one comes from a point of view, say Catholic view, or the Protestant view, there will be division, and at times may be so severe that would lead to murder in the name of God.

Is it Gods fault? Absolutely not!

We are responsible for our own actions.

🙂 There seems to be a problem in defining ‘Jews’ and ‘Israelites’. We are faced with trying to understand 1) The original 12 tribes; 2) Tribes that did or didn’t cross over into the promised land; 3) Tribes that were taken captive around 800 B.C., from Northern Israel; and 4) The tribe(s) that are in Israel today, and throughout the world.

Where in the heck are they, or their descendants, today, and, who are ‘they’? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: 🙂

You’re still unders the same fallacy as those who believed the liturature of “Urania’s children.”

This seems related to the teaching of no salvation outside the Church. Such persons are in a state that they cannot know if they ever will be saved unless before they die they are joined to Christ’s Church. I personally do not think them to be in a good state due to the selfish human nature of man and his tendency to commit grave sin. Without the sacraments, they are not in a good position at all. We confess our sins and are forgiven and receive the Body of the Lord and are strengthened so that we will not continue to live in sin but that we will instead live in God and live a life of grace.

[SIGN]You know?? After listening to you guy’s I think I know why God allowed Protestantism[/SIGN] Nancy(cant learn in a state of confusion)

One need not try to swim in deep waters unless one is confident and secure in one’s own ability to swim in it.

Otherwise, one needs the stable structure of an established institution as our fortress and our faith.

How can you come to that conclusion? I am not living in sin, what am I doing wrong? I’m just not affiliated to any church. I read the bible study and was a catholic went Baptist. They are good people but i don’t beleive in the rapture. I beleive those who endure untill the end will be saved.😉 Nancy How can you judge by church affiliation, judge not lest you be judged.

Christ only founded one Church, the Catholic Church. This is an undeniable historical fact. All the other “churches” either came about by breaking away from the unity of the one Church or (as in most cases) breaking off from other groups. Now there are many thousands of different protestant denominations all believing different fundamental teachings but all reading from the same Bible. What they don’t realize is that Christ founded the Catholic Church for our salvation and that all salvation comes through her. Any “elements of sanctification” such as baptism that these separated communities employ derive their efficacy from the Church, which Christ established.

Here is the biggest thing, Nancy, it’s the nature of sin. These things are true no matter what we think about them. There are two types of sin: mortal and venial. Mortal sin, by its very nature, separates man from the life of God, makes him into his enemy, and deprives one of sanctifying grace. Here is a site that explains what sins are mortal and how they are committed: saintaquinas.com/mortal_sin.html

No one is ignorant of the natural law, which God has written on the hearts of all men (Rom 1). Everyone knows for example that murder is wrong. And even if someone never heard of Christianity, he would know that it is a serious sin to commit murder. The state of man is naturally fallen and absent from grace. It is through baptism that man enters into the life of God and is placed into a state of grace. Any mortal sins following baptism, then remove the soul from that state as I explained. In order to be placed back into God’s fellowship, Christ instituted the sacrament of confession. A sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Christ to give us grace. In this sacrament, we are forgiven our mortal sins as Christ himself is the one who absolves us through his priest (John 20:21-23). In order to be forgiven sins outside of the sacrament, one must have perfect contrition for offending God. There’s a lot of theology involved, so I don’t want to overwhelm you. Just pray and be open to God and his truth as much as possible, and I believe that he will lead you home to his Church.

To answer your question, I am not judging by “church affiliation.” I am simply reiterating truths that God has revealed to mankind through is Church. The same Church that complied and gave us the Bible. God did not found a religion based on a book. He founded a religion based on his Tradition, which the apostles faithfully handed down to their successors along with their authority. Scripture and history and the early Church fathers all attest to the fact that the Church has authority on earth, and Christ only formed one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.

I cannot judge in the sense of condemning someone to hell or saying that a particular person is in hell. The Church also does not do that. However, the Church–reiterating the teachings of Christ–does say that if an individual dies in a state of mortal sin (even if he lives a “good life” and seems to be a “good person”) he will go to hell. Even Scripture itself clearly attests to this fact.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest: which are fornication, uncleanness, immodesty, luxury, 20 Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects, 21 Envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of the which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God.

But we can be forgiven if we confess to God through his priests whom he has so appointed:
John 20:20 And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord. 21 He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you. 22 When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost. 23 Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them: and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.

Unifides,Thank You very much I do have a question I looked up Mortal sin and unless I become a nun or a priest how can you live without being condemned to hell every day? There is so much we cannot do .Are we not sanctified by grace?I would have to live in a vaccuum.Just being in the forum sometimes goes from discussion to a very disagreable conversation, and you know what I mean. Didn’t Jesus say take my yoke upon you that it was easy and his burdens light? Nancy

That’s why there is the Sacrament of Reconciliation and having a firm purpose to do better next time.

Jesus to the Apostles:
“Whosoever’s sins you forgive they are forgiven, and whosoever sins you retain they are retained.”

Only the successors (bishops and priests) of the Apostles have been given this authority.

If you confess your sins before God and ask for forgiveness .He is faithfull and just to forgive us our sins and CLEANSE US from all unrightousness. God cleanses us.Why does he say not to let the sun set before you go to ask forgiveness from the one you hurt? We are able to do this without man because Christ is the only mediator between God and man. And he taught us how to pray with the Our Father. I just asked my husband if he would forgive anyone who ever did wrong to him in his life and he said yes and he asked me the same and I said yes so what ever is loost on earth is loosed in heaven.Tell me what the priest can do that we cant do ourselves? Can the priest make the one we offended forgive us? no! And neither can I. So we are in the same place, for God is no respector of man.Who ever is high on earth will be low in heaven.Tell me why Christ say’s these things and man say’s differnt? Thank You Nancy

Reconciliation is the normative means of personal forgiveness, not interpersonal forgiveness. Christ is the only mediator between God and men, but the presbyters (the priests) are His instruments He uses to confect the Sacraments of the Church.

Have you ever read the Early Church Fathers?
