Looks like the Church is the final authority until it is proven wrong - like the Sun revolves around the earth.
This is the disconnect my friend. Catholics who know their Faith, understand that Christ and the Church cannot be separated. When the Church defines something as doctrine, the understanding of Catholics is that Christ Has spoken and the matter has been settled. This is because the Church is Christ’s Mystical Body, so when it sets doctrines, Christ sets doctrines. The only way Christ is going to come back and teach something different than what His Mystical Body has set down as doctrine, is if Christ has a multiple personality complex. This of course is impossible. But I think a lot a Catholics (maybe more than half) are ready to reject the Christ when he Returns if He does not confirm and agree with their cherished beliefs.
That is exactly what I meant. The Church never claims infallibility in science my friend. Your “ah ha!” is more of a “hehe” to Catholics. Reincarnation however, is a matter of Faith and Morals, and the Church has complete infallibility in such matters and the conclusion is a big negative on reincarnation.

The only Catholics that will reject Christ when He comes back are the ones that have not cherished and lived by the doctrines of His Church.
Again, it is not that they’re in agreement, it is that they’re ONE. This is why the Church rightly says; “Therefore, he that despiseth these things, despiseth not man, but God, who also hath given his holy Spirit in us.”-- 1 Thessalonians 4:8That is exactly what I meant.
You are absolutely sure that the Christ and the Church are in agreement and if He dares disagree then He is definitely not the Christ.
To elaborate further:Again, it is not that they’re in agreement, it is that they’re ONE. This is why the Church rightly says; “Therefore, he that despiseth these things, despiseth not man, but God, who also hath given his holy Spirit in us.”-- 1 Thessalonians 4:8
Our doctrines are from God, so when God comes back He will not teach doctrines that are contrary to the doctrines He has instituted in His Mystical Body.
You see openmind77, when you reject the Church you reject Christ.

Did you know that as many as 70% of Catholics disagree with the Church on some doctrines?Again, it is not that they’re in agreement, it is that they’re ONE. I am sure that a huge number of our average sinners dissent. No surprise. After all, we are sinners.Did you know that as many as 70% of Catholics disagree with the Church on some doctrines?
Are you saying that only 30% Catholics are real Catholics and the rest are rejecting Christ because of their personal beliefs (maybe just a single one).
And if the Christ Returns and disagrees with the Magisterium, then He can not possibly be the Christ - is that correct?I am sure that a huge number of our average sinners dissent. No surprise. After all, we are sinners.
Dissent does not determine truth; the Magisterium, under the Holy Spirit, does.

I will let Christ answer this;Did you know that as many as 70% of Catholics disagree with the Church on some doctrines?
Again, I will let Christ answer this.you saying that only 30% Catholics are real Catholics and the rest are rejecting Christ because of their personal beliefs (maybe just a single one).
Thanks! Your two statements above really shows your submission to Christ as the final authority.I will let Christ answer this;

Again, I will let Christ answer this.

However this contradicts your statement that we should let the Christ be the judge on who is rejecting him. The Church is a human institution and will make mistakes (whatever the claims of guidance by the Holy Spirit) - in fact the Ayatollahs of the world will probably make similar claims about their declarations that they are guided by some divine agency.[BIBLEDRB]matthew 12:30[/BIBLEDRB]
The Truth, isn’t a thing. The Truth is a person and that person’s name is Jesus Christ. When you reject the doctrines of the Church you reject the Person of Christ. When you reject Christ you reject the Father and the Holy Spirit.
And the reason for this is …all of mankind should just look at itself in the mirror.I’ve been catholic for a while now and still cant’ grasp the reason behind suffering like this.
I just needed to vent this upset me so bad sorry if it or I upset any of you in the process.
Sorry about that! But I still don’t see why some baby should suffer because of the state of mankind, while so many criminals are leading perfectly comfortable lives.Seems we have drifted way off the question. Here is the question:
And the reason for this is …all of mankind should just look at itself in the mirror.
Babies are no more important than any other human being of larger body; and justice is not completed in this life.Sorry about that! But I still don’t see why some baby should suffer because of the state of mankind, while so many criminals are leading perfectly comfortable lives.
I think we should all pray for the early Return of the Christ, so that many of these questions can be answered satisfactorily. I, for one, am not convinced by any of the platitudes offered so far.
It is not a question of importance. Babies are totally innocent relative to the rest of us. Justice is definitely not completed in this life, but it does not make sense to me for it to be this unjust, determined by just chance - apparently it makes sense to many who believe in their own dogma.Babies are no more important than any other human being of larger body; and justice is not completed in this life.

No, there is no contradiction. Christ said to His a apostles; as the Father has sent me, so I send you. He talks about how those who reject them, reject Him, and the Father who sent Him. When Saul persecuted the apostles, Christ asked him; Saul, why doest thou persecute Me? Christ and the Church are ONE.Thanks! OK Mr Credo, you can blindly believe everything the Church says and keep repeating it ad infinitum, but don’t say I did not try to prepare you for a shock when the Christ Returns and says something different. No, there is no contradiction. Assuming that that is what happens.OK Mr Credo, you can blindly believe everything the Church says and keep repeating it ad infinitum, but don’t say I did not try to prepare you for a shock when the Christ Returns and says something different.

Then I responded…why does God allow such terrible people to have children?
In this case, the parents were more then negligent and they are to blame, and not God. Therefore when God gave us the command in the book of Genesis to multiply and fill the earth, he intended for us to take care of our children. And the reason for this is …all of mankind should just look at itself in the mirror.
