I wanted to touch on This. Aquinas would say that God is the act of existence, or the act of being itself. God, being utterly simple, is Himself being; His essence is being.I think you have a lot of interesting stuff to say, I just don’t think we have established that there is a Creator of Existence, or that truth is a “creation”, so to speak.
Interestingly, these self-evident laws could not be otherwise. I do not see them necessarily proving god’s existence, because, really, no matter what, they could not be otherwise. God could never, IMO, make a universe where the law of non-contradiction was not true.
We’re not really talking about God’s existence here, and I’d hate to get sidetracked by such a discussion. God’s existence can be proven by philosophy, but that’s not the matter under discussion. The matter under discussion is whether reason is merely within the mind, or whether it actually applies to the universe, and whether God is essentially reasonable, meaning He follows reason.
