This all the wayThe thing that some of the old folks here realize that the younger ones don’t is that there is a lot worse things than being lonely because you’re holding out for a good spouse
Loneliness is, in fact, terrible. Being heartbroken is also a bad one. And it can last for a long time. I remember months into one particular heartbreak just wondering when I would get over it. Seeing happy couples my age made me sad.
I remember the last time I felt my faith shaken over something not going my way in regards to the opposite sex. It was not a big shake up. Actually probably only a few minuets. But I actually remember thinking (or asking God) “Is this all it would take for me to question my faith in God? A woman not calling me?” Or something like that anyways. Then I got over it. I was still a little heartbroken I am sure… but I knew it was not a good reason to question my faith in God. To me, nothing is. But ESPECIALLY not that. t I don’t think I will soon forget that little experience. I am still alone, but looking at least. Two recent rejections under my belt to prove it too
