Why does our Current Pope Support World Goverment?

I will check out those movies…haven’t seen them yet. I’ve critically watched Zeitgeist, Ring of Power, Money Masters, and Endgame. There is some truth in there, but on religious issues, you really need to know your stuff to be able to “separate the wheat from the chaff”.

As for trusting the Church–this is huge. If you don’t trust the Church, then there is almost no point in being Catholic. The Church isn’t “run by men”…men are merely stewards of the divine offices that Christ set up through His apostles. The Church has been around over 2,000 years with unbroken apostolic succession and fidelity to the original teachings of Christ. If you can’t trust the Church, then you can’t trust the Pope, or the sacraments, or perhaps even the hope in Christ’s promise.

God bless, and I’ll pray for you.

I don’t trust the Church completely and I don’t trust the pope. I do believe in sacraments and in Christ. Attend mass and all of that. I still have much to learn and to research. I do pray that God leads me to the truth. Thank you for your support.

The Pope does not support a political One World Government. The United Nations was created as a place where all governments wishing to join could air their differences and reach conclusions. In the past, various countries would ally themselves with each other, and hold meetings with non-aligned countries. The UN has simply brought this process into one place. UN resolutions are sometimes ignored and sometimes members abstain from voting.

Any large organization has a level of corruption that is usually related to its size and power. This has been true throughout human history.

It is false to claim that man needs to question everything without a place to begin. Pope Benedict has stated that it is not possible to talk just about progress. We also need to know where we’re going.

The WOMP report is about money and nothing more. Once travel by sea was commonplace and the building of large warships was accomplished, various countries projected their power around the world and established colony states in sovereign, otherwise independent countries, killing off some or all of the “savages.” They would then exploit their land and mineral resources.

Small, so-called Third World Countries are under the effective control of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The Council on Foreign Relations is another troublemaker in world affairs. In essence, these develloping countries are loaned money so they can “develop,” but they often cannot repay their loans. In the past, Popes have called upon the International banking community to excuse the debts of some really poor and/or war-torn countries.

It would only take a few minutes on google to find out how many foreign countries own land, buildings and other assets in the United States. Financially, it is already a One World Financial Order. Massive transfers of assets can occur over the computer and currency exchanges are ready to convert your Dollars into Yuan or Yen or Deutsch Marks.

The cynical work of Rockefeller and other planners is to create a One World Currency, and if the Pope can be somehow manipulated to help, they will try it.

God bless,
Ed
Thank you very much for your reply Ed. You make some great points that i’ll def take into consideration.

Hey Ted,
We talked about this a few posts back. Here was my take:
Thank you for that. 🙂

I just am tired of all the war and strife and hunger and poverty. I love my brothers too much and just want access to the most simple human rights for all. Too many people do not have access to basic nutrition, transportation, education or healthcare, and from my point of view if we quit spending so much on war and border protection, we might be able to help our brothers more.

We are all going to have to get along together forever in heaven, what if we started living like that here today? Imagine all the people…

Since the publication of Rerum Novarum the Church has been calling for a new world order. This is not the same as the New World Order that others are calling for.

What the Church has been calling for and will continue to call for is for a wold of justice, peace, equality, and cooperation among nations. If we stop and think about this, it is a new world order, because the world does not function this way.

The word “order” in the spiritual life has a very different meaning than it does in the secular. The theological definition of order is for all things to be as Christ ordered, to have structure, to have a divine end, and to be rooted in Christ.

As to the other statement that the Pope made about one nation unilaterally deciding the fate of the world, there is great truth in this. He was speaking of the United States. As much as he loves what the United States does for it citizens, he also sees the danger of our country or any other country unilaterally deciding what is good for the world.

Such actions are a violation of the sovereignty of states and the rights of their citizens. While the world community cannot and should not tolerate the violation of human rights by a single government, it cannot tolerate a single government declaring itself the arbiter of democracy, freedom and justice. Eventually this arbiter runs the risk of becoming a dictator. The Church, like Winston Churchill, believes that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

As to the United Nations, the Pope was not supporting the corruption within the organization. On the contrary, he is calling the organization to fulfill its mission, which is to bring all nations together to find solutions for the problems of the world. He was telling them, in very diplomatic terms, that they have to wake up and do their job.

Do not expect the Pope to go into the UN and tell them that they are corrupt. This is never going to happen. It would be irresponsible on his part. He would be putting the lives of millions of Catholics around the world in danger, because some nations would take this as an affront.

He has to be more diplomatic and restate the mission of the United Nations and call them back to fulfill it. If you can imagine it this way, he’s is playing the voice of conscience. The conscience is reminding this world body that they have a mission. If they listen to this reminder, they will correct their errors without any danger to the lives and welfare of Catholics around the world.

Hope this helps.

JR 🙂

This thread reminds me of a movie staring Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts and Patrick Stewart; Conspiracy Theory. It appears that some on this thread may think it was a documentary. That movie and the assertions in the OP have one thing in common. Brace yourselves. The movie was fiction.

Unsubscribing from this thread.

Thank You for your response JR. You make some great points. I do expect the Pope to speak out against the UN, not to embrace it and kiss it’s flag like it is some kind of moral leader. The world doesn’t need the UN. The UN does much more evil then it does to better humanity. I am speaking about the UN’s believe in population reduction. Their desire to have a Carbon tax, and all the other frauds that they are pushing for. Perhaps I am wrong, and God knows I am far from perfect, but I do expect more from the Pope.

Actually, it reminds me more of Star Wars… you know, when the Emperor (the evil Pope 🙂 disolves the freedom loving senate, and starts the evil Empire! 🙂

Who are the Jedi? 🙂

God bless,
Ut

Well you know what they say… Truth is stranger the Fiction.

We cannot expect the Pope to put people’s lives in danger. This irresponsible. The best he can do is to call forth the conscience of the leaders represented in the UN to do the right thing. This includes putting asside some of the errors that you pointed out.

But to target the entire world community is not the way to do this. Remember World War II. The Vatican achieved more through its covert actions that it did if it had openly confronted Hitler.

Every Catholic is a citizen of the Vatican, like most Jews are citizens of Israel. As a sovereign state and member of the UN, the Vatican has an obligation to protect its citizens and a the same time the right to call its colleagues to remember their primary mission. That’s what popes what done and will continue to do regarding the UN.

There is another thing that the Vatican cannot jeopardize, that is its autonomy as a sovereign state. This autonomy exists only as it is recognized by the UN. If the Italian government wanted to do so, it could take it away and there would be no recourse for the Vatican.

Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils. In this case, is lend moral support to the mission of the UN, without lending support to its errors.

It is not in the best interest of Catholics around the world for the Vatican to loose its sovereignty. Such sovereignty also guarrantees the Vatican the right to speak to the world community as an equal, not just as a religion. This is a good thing.

I’m not sure what else we can expect the Pope to say to the UN without jeopardizing our Vatican’s sovereignty and without endangering Catholics around the world.

So, you’re a non-Catholic Catholic, then?

What are non-Catholic Catholics called again? Oh yeah. Protestants.

It is more then just the NWO qoute. The Pope said to submit to the Authority of the UN. What does that tell you?
The Pope merely mentioned the authority of the UN, which is the truth anyway. But you said “Global Authority” which is not in the quote. You say “must submit to the authority” which is not in the quote either. For that matter you said that the UN is advocating a One World Government, which is neither in the quote nor in the Charter. From the looks of things, you’re reading into the texts something that the text never said.

Where are you actually getting this stuff?

This is what the Holy Father said about the relationship between the UN and other nations.

**Discernment, then, shows that entrusting exclusively to individual States, with their laws and institutions, the final responsibility to meet the aspirations of persons, communities and entire peoples, can sometimes have consequences that exclude the possibility of a social order respectful of the dignity and rights of the person. On the other hand, a vision of life firmly anchored in the religious dimension can help to achieve this, since recognition of the transcendent value of every man and woman favours conversion of heart, which then leads to a commitment to resist violence, terrorism and war, and to promote justice and peace. **

origin.ewtn.com/USPapalVisit08/words/unitednations.asp

In other words the world community cannot trust that individual states will always guarrantee the aspirations of man. If left unchecked, individual states can lead their citizens to catostrophic consequences. Therefore it is one of the duties of the UN to ensure that nations guarrantee the the freedom of the religious dimension, because only the religious dimension can lead men to justice and peace.

The nations of the world must unite to safeguard this right that all men have to transcend and achieve what God intends for man, justice and peace.

This is not a call to submission to the UN. It is a call to the UN to submit to the divine rights of man and to protect them, even if they have to protect them against individual governments who attempt to supress such rights.

This is not the same as a world government headed by the UN. It is a call to the nations of the world to practice stewardship, but as a collective, not as indivduals. Because individual nations can make mistakes that lead to tragedy.

There is nothing here against Church teaching or against the Gospel. In fact if you go back and read earlier in this speech the Pope reminds the UN that the idea of a United Nations was originally that of a Dominican theologian who saw that the nations of the world had an obligation to work together to protect the rights of man to fulfill God’s will.

In fact, he is calling the UN to reflect on its mission and to be faithful to it. They need to be called back to fidelity to their mission. Everyone knows that they are not doing their job correctly. Someone has to tell them. And the Pope offers the support of the Church to help guide them in the moral order.

My first questions are going to deal with both the current Pope and John Paul II. Now many Catholics I know immediately defend the popes believing they are incapable of wrong doing, but they won’t deal with the issues!
I’ve never met a Catholic who thinks popes are “incapable of wrongdoing.” That certainly isn’t a Catholic teaching. You might be thinking of the doctrine of infallibility, which has nothing to do with conduct, only with doctrinal teaching.
  1. Both John Paul II and Pope Benedict have on numerous occasions called for a “New World Order” and both seemingly support a one world government.
No, they haven’t called for any “New World Order” nor have they advocated a one world government. Go straight to the Vatican’s website (it’s available in English) and read through all the papal statements you want. Nothing’s there about “New World Order” or “One World Government.”

Um… Actually his direct quotes day otherwise. You can sugarcoat it all you want but he said otherwise.

"Countries that act unilaterally on the world stage undermine the authority of the United Nations and weaken the broad consensus needed to confront global problems, Pope Benedict said on Friday.

Countries that act independently undermine the authority of the UN? What authority? Who made them the rulers of the world?

Wow… You found a typo! You must feel very proud of yourself! Keep up the great work.
I find lots of typos in my work as well. And most of them I catch and correct by rereading what I wrote after I post it, or use the preview button. And some typos slip through, and reduce my credibility as a poster.

I take full responsibility for any lack of credibility that I may have here. Do you?

Do you suggest that condceding that the U.N. possesses authority is the same thing as advocating a “one world government?” By what reasoning? A “one world government” would require a forfeiture of each nation’s national sovereignty. The quote you offer says no such thing.

“Sugar coating” has nothing to do with it. You are reading something into the pope’s words that just isn’t there.

So, are you in fact a “Truther”? Just curious. Not answering questions, like making MANY obvious and easily fixed spelling and grammar mistakes, tells how important you consider your reputation and credibility to be.

Now, as to the above question: The UN, which I hate with a passion, cannot be “hated with a passion” by the Pope. He must consider it for what it SHOULD be and not for what it demonstrates itself to be.

What he is saying is that countries should try to be reasonable with each other about mutual “problems”, and that since the UN SHOULD consider itself a “place to talk reasonably” it (the UN) and individual countries should work on problems by doing that.

Your paranoia, and anti-Catholicism, is what makes statements of hope that nations would talk and work together in a neutral “meeting hall” into “The EVIL Pope wants humanity to BOW as slaves to the NEW ORDER ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM”.

So, are you a “Truther”?
