It is true that we should keep a very far distance from the enemy; however, sometimes we reflect the image of the enemy ourself - so, he is nearer than we think he is.
However, I think I understand your concern somehow. The safe way to see his image is to look at the image of God. What is not of God is of the enemy. Let’s us focus more on God than the enemy.
