Why does virtually every non-Catholic religion target Catholics for conversion?

Actualy most of the people that had differences in opinions on Scripture or doctrine, usually just submitted to the authority of the Church (you might say forced, but I say submitted)… These would not be considered Heretics… Only the ones that broke away to preach a different gospel (Marcion, Arianism, etc…)… I would think similar to many Catholics today that don’t understand or maybe even question certain Catholic doctrines or disciplines, but faithfully submit, trusting that the Church knows what’s best for them.

Ahhh Spirit… we agree on almost everything, but for some reason we seem to only discuss the things we don’t agree on.… I’m sorry

You are truly right. Most threads here on both sides seem to accentuate the differences rather than take joy in the agreements. There seems a definite delight in inflicting pain. My only comment is that what I find most troubling here, is the willingness to take a position that it’s better to follow than to honestly differ. There are many here who decline the use of one’s own mind and heart whatsoever. Obedience has a valuable place, I admit, but when honest disagreement is claimed to be sinful (much as dissent was considered unpatriotic a few years ago, and is now patriot by the same folks today), I think we are in a dangerous place. Your willingness to explore without rancor is appreciated!

More nonsens, is saying that the Lutheran faith, existed before Martin Luther.

Why even bother calling yourself Lutheran?

Why not just come back home to the Catholic Church its in your roots.

I haven’t seen gcnuss say anything that would imply rejecting Martin Luther.

I certainly do agree with you that if he did so, it would be very strange, just like if a Franciscan were to reject St. Francis.
