Why doesn't God appear to me?

Am I supposed to wait till I die to physically reach him? That’s awkward
 
God is likely already talking to you, but in a subtle, quiet voice that requires great peace and calm to hear. Do not give up. If you ever listen to your conscience, you are likely listening to God.

  1. Be grateful the devil doesn’t appear to you.
He would, but God constantly prevents it.
  1. If you have any conscience at all, and haven’t killed it off as extremely evil men do,
    that’s God talking to you constantly.
    Left to ourselves, we would all be totally selfish, degenerate, clever animals, rampaging through the world taking everything we could get by any means.

Catholic theology sees conscience as the last practical “judgment of reason which at the appropriate moment enjoins [a person] to do good and to avoid evil”.[34] Thus, conscience is not like the will, nor a habit like prudence, but "the interior space in which we can listen to and hear the truth, the good, the voice of God.

Because he wants you to choose him because you love Justice, Goodness, and Beauty. Not because you are terrified when you see God or because you are trying to save your skin.
 
Go to any Catholic Church during adoration or Mass. Any day of the week. There you will certainly meet God physically. He might not appear as you expect, but I assure you, He will appear physically.

God is a spirit you’ll never physically reach him. Your best would have been to live in Jerusalem circa 29-30 after domino. Now you’ll have to settle for “hearing” God’s silent voice.

That is a contradiction if you are a Pagan as you said you are- there is hope for you yet if you have answered that way and on a Catholic Forum.

Yes, probably. Or you could “see” God all around you. Can you truly look at a glorious sunset and not see within it the hand of God? When you hear the pure unabashed laughter of a child can you fail to revel in the love of God?

If you need to see God to believe, that is not faith. God asks us to believe although we have not seen. We must not attempt to test God by demanding His appearance. He already sent His Beloved Son who came, lived, taught, healed, suffered, died and rose for our sake. He was seen by many thousands of people. His presence was recorded in what we call the New Testament. We have the testimony of the Apostles who lived alongside Him. We have the writings of the Fathers of our Faith. We have the holy martyrs who were willing to die horrible, torturous deaths because they believed. We have generation upon generation of Christians who have persevered. That is enough for me. I believe.

Perhaps you could meditate on this verse from Mark 9: 24
24Then the boy’s father cried out,** “I do believe, help my unbelief!”**
 
In the Eucharist we see and receive Jesus in His Body Blood Soul and Divinity. The accidents are not as we would expect, as another wise post already mentioned, but we do see His reality. As another wise post stated, we would not survive seeing His Glory. We are so incredibly blessed in the sacrament of the Eucharist, that it is presumptuous to want more in our sinful state.
