Why doesn't God heal homosexuals?

Sex in the confines of a loving relationship is different from temple sex.

My reaction to this thread devolving into an extended discussion about gay temple sex:

It’s not every day you manage to get campier than Judy Garland.

So is having sex with one’s wife when she’s off cycle, Joe.
At least heterosexual sex is ordered to procreation, while Homosexual sex is never ordered to procreation

Sex has a purpose and that is for procreation and for unity between husband and wife

The reason for that is the nature of the rite: if a husband wished to conceive or a man were to wish for some other favor by invoking the use of Ishtar, he’d have sex with a male priest and that priest by way of, ahem, his deposit would act as a conduit between he and the goddess. He was literally leaving his natural wife for a goddess. That is what is unnatural here. He was leaving not just the woman. But, God in the process of going into this gay sex ritual. Often times this meant people being desperate and they’d often try more and more by way of this rite.
This is simply not what Romans is talking about.

It’s impossible to do and contrary to your naysaying here, temple sex is why natural gays cannot be healed: they’re not a party to it. Therefore, there is no healing necessary.

It very much is, Rau. If you don’t believe me, just read into the link Joe posted. There’s a well versed commentator there named Vouthon who goes into a far greater depth than I am here and discusses Paul’s intent in its entirety.

I look forward to your doctoral thesis with this title. Or maybe it should be a musical, with Ru Paul singing, “You make me feel like a natural gay!”

Oh, a well versed commentator named Vouthon? I’m sorry, I reconsider everything I’ve said here. Surely Vouthon must be correct.

Between husband and wife it also serves as a bonding instrument. It is not just for procreation as the church teaches exactly that as well. It’s best described as being best for procreation. But, in that context it is good as well. Hence, why Paul says it is best not to burn and to be married.

Yet Vouthon agrees with me that Paul was talking about gay Temple sex and regular Homosexual sex

No, he clearly states over the course of his words that it, by way of having corrupted the man who engaged in it leads him into more of it. Temple sex, that is. In the same way a gambler keeps going back to the table loss after loss thinking he’ll make it up the next round.

Joe, you’re not the church. The church teaches that it’s for procreation and bonding.

Did I not say unity? I meant bonding. Also you should not be speaking about the Church when you go against her doctrines

Well, you certainly aren’t. So, what does it matter? You need to posit a reasoned argument. Not just merely a fervent one and you haven’t done that here. You’re just saying that gay sex is bad because God says it is. Never mind it’s never actually addressed in the bible beyond a very limited understanding of the text.

I’m not going against it here, Joe. I’m indicating that she also teaches that it’s useful for bonding in couples.
