Why don't the Jews believe in Jesus?

But I do believe that the Temple will be rebuild! Everyone talks about it in the scriptures, Jeremiah, all the Prophets, everyone…
It’s promised and it will be rebuilt, this is what everything evolves around.
Now I see why my bible study group was so surprised. They were talking about a spiritual temple, while I was talking about the physical temple.

Doesn’t the rebuilt temple usher in the coming of the Antichrist? Don’t Catholic prophecies state so? And he will do many miracles and deceive people into leaving Christianity, claiming to be Christ and making false peace.

No it doesn’t and it won’t be.
If the Temple is to be rebuilt, take a pair of scissors and cut Hebrews out of your Bible.
If the Temple is to be rebuilt, then Christ’s sacrifice was not enough.
Dispensationalism is false teaching and leads directly to heresy.
 
Many Jews did accept Christ as the Messiah. They were the first Christians as many have stated before me.

A Jewish friend of mine put it to me this way…“You were raised a Christian your entire life. You are devout and love Christ with body and soul. One day a Rabbi comes knocking on your door and ask you if you believe if you would like to convert. Of course you will say no because all you have ever believed in is Christianity and Christ. Not believing in Christ is a major sin for you. Now turn that around. A pastor knocks on the door of a Jew. The pastor ask the Jew if he believes in Christ and wants to be saved. According to Jewish doctrine, there can be no one like Christ. So why would that Jew convert to believe in someone that the Torah states cannot be?”

Of course we agreed to disagree but his argument brings about much light on the matter. We as Christians cannot, or should I say, SHOULD NOT deny Christ. Their doctrine states that there is ONE God and not a Trinity of God. Therefore they cannot accept Christ as the Messiah. He stated that the Messiah will merely be a human, not divine.
 
Err, Moses did say that God would raise up a prophet like him. Just as Moses confirmed a covenant, so did Jesus; just as Moses added laws to the 10 commandments, so did Jesus (the beatitudes).
 
Some Torah Jews can’t.

It is part of God’s plan which has not yet been completed.

Since Christ , God has kept a remnant ( God has this habit of keeping a remnant) of 144,000 Jews that will be given a mark that will protect them during the end times ( tribulation, before the Second Coming, however you want to refer to it).

This group of rightous people have been delibertly blinded to Christ for His purpose. They are to be witnesses when Jesus sits upon David’s throne.

Clearly, there wiil be a Third temple built on the temple Mount. John,as told within Revelation, was told so. It will be built without the outer court, which will be given over to the gentiles( islam) John was given a measuring stick by an angel to measure the land available. Right now, many of the necesary holy things have been rebuilt.Only God could have had His Hand in some of the preparations should you want to read up on it. talk of miracles.

of course we should always respect their right to believe what they believe.

Just human:

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, (El Gabor - mighty God)

7 Of the greatness of his government and peace

He will reign on David’s throne

will accomplish this.
 
I think Lancer hit the nail on the head in post #2. I’m grateful for his wise and insightful response.

Everybody - Let’s be polite and respectful when discussing our elder brothers and sisters in the faith.
 
Many disappointing responses on this thread.

Few are actually responding to the reasons the Jews themselves give for rejecting Jesus as God and Messiah.

I posted a few Jewish responses and links in Post #15. They have, for the most part, been ignored.
