I just want to add my voice to the others encouraging you to keep trying, either at this church or another. I am in the process of conversion and was quite intimidated about making that first call. I got a fairly good reception, but I can just imagine what it would have been like if I got no response. Coming from the Protestant Church, it is a new experience because everything seems so much more formal and a little bit difficult. It’s not just a matter of “showing up” as it can be with the Protestants.
But this formality and the taking of everything more seriously is one of the reasons why I am converting in the first place! My observation is that the larger churches seem to have an easier process of contacting someone, whereas the smaller churches might be slightly overwhelmed and not have processes in place. You might want to see if there is a larger church in your area where you can attend a Mass, sit in the back, and get a bulletin. Some churches have their bulletin online.
