Why is it still okay to bash Catholics?

Sure. That is the case with the present. How about 1914-1945? The present Muslim actions aren’t even in the same league.

These links don’t show Christian persecution of Muslims. Not to say it doesn’t happen as of course it does. I’m just saying it pales in comparison to Muslim violence against Christians. I think it can be said that there is a Muslim agenda of violence against Christians and others. These are not ‘isolated’ events. Check these out:

That’s because we’re talking about Christian violence against Muslims, not neo-natzis or the right wing Italian building code enforcers… surely it is evident to you that there is more Muslim violence against others than vice versa 🤷

Ohhhh, you mean that skin heads aren’t Christians? That’s funny because they say that they’re Christians. Gee, maybe those Muslims who are terrorists aren’t Muslims the way that skin heads aren’t Christians.

If it is terrorist and the perps are Muslims::

The same can be said of the Neo-Nazis, who claim to be Christians. It’s all in how you define the members of the religion. If we’re going to allow self identification to determine religious affiliation than the skin heads are Christians, if we’re not than we have to question if the terrorists are Muslims.

So why is it ok to bash (or worse) Catholics? When Pope B mentioned something that ocurred in Muslim history, tens of thousands of Muslims took to the streets in a bizarrely disproportionate show of protest, some mullahs even calling for death to the Pope. These are the mainstream (if you can call them that) muslim clerics. Upon 911, muslims around the world rejoiced. Don’t dare to compare a few pinhead neo whatevers w/ mainstream Catholocism. :tsktsk:

It’s OK in the US to bash Catholics because the First Amendment guarantees that right.

It’s OK for Muslims to show their disagreement with the pope. What’s wrong with that? Why shouldn’t they register their disagreement?

I haven’t said anything about neo whatevers. What are you talking about?

The reality is that most of the terrorism in this world is done by Muslims. No, it doesn’t mean that most muslims are terrorists, but I do think most people would say that most terrorists are muslims… where are all the suicide bomber hindu, budhist, christian etceteras?

If a leader of a Protestant denomination made a public statement that the Catholic Church Beatifies people who are responsible for the martyrdom of hundreds of Protestants, what do you think the reaction of the Catholic Church, and its members, would be?
