Why is it still okay to bash Catholics?

Actually, I think it has more to do w/ forgiveness. Christianity is fairly unique in teaching to turn the other cheek, at least compared to Islam.
Buddhism?

And regardless of teachings, history shows the behavior of both Muslims and Christians to be very bloody.

As to the present, the persecutions appear to be very one sided & heinous.
Sure. That is the case with the present. How about 1914-1945? The present Muslim actions aren’t even in the same league.

These links don’t show Christian persecution of Muslims. Not to say it doesn’t happen as of course it does. I’m just saying it pales in comparison to Muslim violence against Christians. I think it can be said that there is a Muslim agenda of violence against Christians and others. These are not ‘isolated’ events. Check these out:

I just want to make sure that everyone understands that burning down Mosques is not violence against Muslims!

That’s because we’re talking about Christian violence against Muslims, not neo-natzis or the right wing Italian building code enforcers… surely it is evident to you that there is more Muslim violence against others than vice versa 🤷

How do you determine who is a Christian?
How do you determine who is a Mulsim?
How do you determine if violence is Christian violence?
How do you determine if violence is Muslim violence?

Ohhhh, you mean that skin heads aren’t Christians? That’s funny because they say that they’re Christians. Gee, maybe those Muslims who are terrorists aren’t Muslims the way that skin heads aren’t Christians.

I’m referring to a systamatic muslim agenda against Christians:

"From Nigeria to Indonesia, Christians are under siege in virtually every single country in the Muslim world, the victims of countless acts of discrimination, depredation, brutality, and murder that are so widespread and systematic that it can rightfully be called the new Holocaust. This time, however, the perpetrators of this Holocaust aren’t wearing swastikas, but kufi skull caps and hijabs.

The global war on Christianity by Islam is so massive in size and scope that it is virtually impossible to describe without trivializing it. Inspired by Muslim Brotherhood ideology and fueled by billions of Wahhabi petrodollars, the religious cleansing of Christians from the Muslim world is continuing at a break-neck pace, as the following recent examples demonstrate. "

We must pray for an end to all religious persecution:thumbsup:

How do you determine Muslim terrorist apologists?
Regarding the event:
  1. Identify the event they are highlighting.
  2. Analyze the event in terms of who acted, why, against who, and what was the result.
  3. Determine if the action was terrorist.
If it is terorist:
  1. Identify their professed motivation.
  2. Identify their professed allegiance to Islam.
If it is terrorist and the perps are Muslims::
  1. Determine if 1) the alleged apologist is accurately portraying the above five findings, or 2) determine if the alleged apologist is mischaracterizing the above five findings.
  2. If the alleged apologist is mischaracterizing the above findings, they are Muslim terrorist apologists.
So, back yo you -
How do you determine who is a Christian?
How do you determine who is a Mulsim?
How do you determine if violence is Christian violence?
How do you determine if violence is Muslim violence?

Have Muslims or any groupon earth for all of history ever done anything as bloody and horrible as the European Christians did between 1914 and 1945?

The same can be said of the Neo-Nazis, who claim to be Christians. It’s all in how you define the members of the religion. If we’re going to allow self identification to determine religious affiliation than the skin heads are Christians, if we’re not than we have to question if the terrorists are Muslims.

The game is very simple.

All terrorists who attack Christians are Muslim because we say they are.

All terrorists who attack Muslims are not Christians because we say they are not.

God is on our side.

So why is it ok to bash (or worse) Catholics? When Pope B mentioned something that ocurred in Muslim history, tens of thousands of Muslims took to the streets in a bizarrely disproportionate show of protest, some mullahs even calling for death to the Pope. These are the mainstream (if you can call them that) muslim clerics. Upon 911, muslims around the world rejoiced. Don’t dare to compare a few pinhead neo whatevers w/ mainstream Catholocism. :tsktsk:

Eh?

I think you are referring to the Pope’s infamous quote of a 14th century Byzantine emperor:
Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.’"
time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1534640,00.html

Is is any wonder that Muslims took offense?

It’s OK in the US to bash Catholics because the First Amendment guarantees that right.

It’s OK for Muslims to show their disagreement with the pope. What’s wrong with that? Why shouldn’t they register their disagreement?

I haven’t said anything about neo whatevers. What are you talking about?

The reality is that most of the terrorism in this world is done by Muslims. No, it doesn’t mean that most muslims are terrorists, but I do think most people would say that most terrorists are muslims… where are all the suicide bomber hindu, budhist, christian etceteras?

If a leader of a Protestant denomination made a public statement that the Catholic Church Beatifies people who are responsible for the martyrdom of hundreds of Protestants, what do you think the reaction of the Catholic Church, and its members, would be?
