Why is it wrong to love Mary?

I think Mary should be depicted true to her ethnic origins. Same for Jesus. A decidedly white Mary is an insult to Middle Eastern people, IMHO.

I just think ethnic accuracy would be refreshing. Dark enough for me? That isn’t the issue. Accurate? That’s could be important.

So she should be portrayed as white?

Mary, being a descendant of David was most likely “like” David who was described as white (red hair, very fair skin, etc…).

And the middle east is full of fair skinned people.

Not that color should matter.
 
Well getting back to the OP’s question… Why is it wrong to love Mary?

·The Roman Catholic Church and Roman Catholic Popes excluded “Books” from the Bible
·**The Roman Catholic Church kept and protected the Bible for the first fifteen hundred years of Christian history **
·**The Roman Catholic Church passed down the Bible and they used it (and use it) to instruct Roman Catholics **

The Roman Catholic Church “gave” you the Bible, as you know it today, period.

i’m very much aware of the issues involved in the formation of the canon of the Scriptures. No doubt Christ used the catholic church as His tool. No debate there. However, your boasting is misplaced. God could have easily used another way to get the job done as He did when He rebuked the prophet with a donkey. The mere fact that He gave the church the Scriptures themselves is an incredible blessing.

Do you study them?
 
Did not Jesus turn water into wine at the command of Mary?

Is Mary not the queen of the entire celestial court?

Did God not find favor with Mary by selecting her to be the Mother of Jesus?

Just answer these questions and it becomes evident why Mary is loved by Catholics.

Mine is ok too. Motorola struck a deal with Rome…something about dispensations for one of the CEO’s. I don’t know. I stay out of that whole thing…as long as I got my ring, I’m golden!
