Why is Latin Mas always far away?

I’m far from any Latin Masses, as well. One in Detroit has them every day, but from what I’ve heard it’s not a great area. The closest FSSP parish is over 100 miles away.

I think that perhaps that there just aren’t enough priests who are trained in the Latin Mass who aren’t already retired. I know the closest Latin Mass to where I live is almost an hours drive away from here. I have never been there yet but I would like to go someday soon. Since Pope Benedict XVI issued the Motu Proprio though, the Latin Mass should become more widely available.

I did hear from a few sources however that the vocations to seminaries that instruct in the Latin Mass are overflowing. Hope that does something!
