Why is the God's door narrow?

I also struggle with this concept of not many people making it to heaven. I feel that God being all-powerful and ever knowing would have created the world differently if he wanted us to all be in heaven. He would have seen the original sin happening before it ever happened. It’s hard for me to rationlize the fact that God knows exactly where we will all end up before we are even born. I’m very conflicted with this at times and gives me great anxiety. I try to live my life in the manner God wants, but it’s not always easy. These kinds of things keep me up at night in worry. I am a sinner and I ask God for forgiveness everyday, but I just don’t feel like it’s enough.

Welcome to the Club of Anxious Amateur Theologians 🤣 siblings of the Suicidal Continental Philosophers and the orthodox variant of the Martin Lutherius

Lets pray for God to give us Ilumination, to understand all his Revelation.

Jesus is the narrow door. He says to us, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Religion, no matter what religion it is, puts one on the wide road that leads to destruction. We cannot earn our way to heaven (Romans 3 & 4, Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 3:10-11, Titus 3:4-5…) and religion is man’s attempt to earn his way to heaven. Jesus’s death on the cross paid the price for all our sins (Colossians 2:13), sins that separate us from God (Isaiah 59:2), and only when the sins are removed and righteousness is credited to our account (2 Corinthians 5:21) can we receive eternal life and begin a relationship with God. “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life THROUGH CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD [not through religion, good works, sacraments, etc.]” (Romans 6:23). Good deeds will come when one turns to God from religion and sin, simply asking for mercy (Luke 18:9-14), realizing he is not good (Romans 3:21-23). It is then that that persons will begin a relationship with God, because God will put His Holy Spirit in them (Ephesians 1:13), and they will begin a lifetime of being changed by God through His word that we are to thirst for (1 Peter 2:2). Salvation is for the humble who love the truth, hate their wickedness, and want to saved (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). As you can tell, I love, love, love God’s Word! Jesus is the living Word and the Bible is the written word. It’s how we listen to Jesus.

God has high standards and excellent taste. Should he let unrepentant sinners sit at the banquet beside you? That would be unjust.

you must trust in God and believe that God will give you the graces to go through the narrow door. Persevere in humble prayers and supplications. The Christian makes efforts counting on the grace of God. It is like a very weak sportsman who makes efforts counting on the doping. He knows that without doping he can not do anything, but with doping he will win. And he also knows that if he gets doping, but getting on the track does not run, so he can not win.
This is how the Christian must act. He must rely solely on the grace of God by praying unceasingly. But if he does not make efforts afterwards to do the will of God, the graces he has received will serve no purpose.

People have been given free will to do what is good and what is evil. We choose to sin by exercising our free will. Human beings are given free will so that we can choose to love. If we didn’t have free will we would be like robots programmed for certain actions. By choosing to sin, people send themselves to hell and the ultimate would be to reject God in the moment we die. God knows this and is not going to force someone to spend eternity with Him who doesn’t want to be in God’s presence.

By being sorry for our sins and going to Confession, we start over again. That is why we have the Sacrament of Confession, also called the Sacrament of Reconciliation which sometimes is a better name for a beautiful sacrament.

STT - God’s door gets wider, the more ‘you’ get to know Him, and get to love Him, and follow His ways.
