And bad design is…bad design.
True, but one must know the intent of the design to determine that.
Backs, knees, female pelvis, eyes, teeth…etc. The list is a long one. All poor design. Unless the intent was actually to make them less fit for purpose then they could be.

You are describing change within a population.

That is evolution. Or, among evolution.

I smell Kent Hovind in this dialog.

Have you examined the archetype, before the fall?

Because freemasons and communist leaders like to teach that lie in universities, mass media and schools. It’s rooted in Renaissance and enlightment philosophy.

Evolution isn’t fundamental to all medicine but in certain areas like immunology (acquired defenses and antibiotic-resistant microbes) and genetics, it certainly is important to explain them.

People should realize they can turn on the TV, right now, and see ads for drugs with side effects like kidney failure, liver failure, heart attack and, my favorite, death. Evolution has not helped modern medicine at all.

No it’s not. Scientists have no choice but to take things apart to see how they actually work. There is no formula derived from evolution to help anyone.

There is no conflict, faith goes beyond the limitations of science and help us to understand the full picture. Just because we will never be able to scientifically prove faith does not mean it is unimportant. Both science and faith come from the same source: God. There is no conflict, in fact, Catholicism embraces so much science that there has been a number of priests who were also scientists, for example

The scientist credited with proposing in the 1930s what came to be known as the “Big Bang theory” of the origin of the universe was Georges Lemaitre, a Belgian physicist and Roman Catholic priest. Alexander Fleming, the inventor of penicillin, shared his faith.

Silly me. I didn’t know I could. Please let me know how I can examine this ‘archetype before the fall’.

If that’s not possible then I don’t know what to suggest. Maybe…just work off the evidence?

But you can still run a Code or treat high blood pressure without buying in to evolution.
The point of this thread is whether there is a conflict between science and Christianity. The fact that you are even arguing this proves the point. There is.

But, just to make the point, when you see your doctor, and she asks if you have a family history of high blood pressure, that’s because of evolution. Or do you walk out of the office and call her a quack?
I don’t have any respect for people That claim evolution is false yet still go to a doctor.

People should also remember that God had to put things in terms Moses would understand. Either that, or Moses had to translate things into terms his non-scientific listeners and readers would understand.

If I ask you what time it is, I don’t want to know how the watch was made or a philosophical discussion on what time it is. I probably wouldn’t understand either and I would get frustrated and still wouldn’t know what time it was.

But, just to make the point, when you see your doctor, and she asks if you have a family history of high blood pressure, that’s because of evolution…

Actually, they ask about that because of the higher (or lower) risk of some medical conditions. Evolution may or may not be the driving force behind that.
But don’t worry. I doubt others respect you either.

They ask about your family history because of evolution. My kids are adopted. I don’t have to fill out any medical records for my kids because my genetic background doesn’t affect them.

Again, the point here is that why do you NOT subscribe to evolution? Because of the conflict inherent between Christianity and science. There is a conflict. There always has been, always will be.

They ask about your family history because of evolution.
Evolution is not going to tell them about vaccinations that may or may not have happened.
Evolution is not going to tell how many pregnancies a woman has had.
Evolution is not going to tell a number of things.

A family history is not about evolution, it is about assessing risks.

It’s not solely about evolution. But inherited genetic traits are part of it.
