This is EXACTLY what Mohammed did, i.e., proclaimed himself a prophet. And yes, it is better to stay away from bad ideas like Mohammed’s.
No, you are uninformed sedonaman. When you say that, you shame every Prophet.
The entire account of the first Revelation was one of overwhelming reluctance and shivering; then quiet for three years before the announcement, followed by another ten years before being forced to flee. Then undeniable sovereignty in many nations.
It is better to stay away from bad ideas like yours, even if the mass adheres to them.
Take the time to read and you will see, Muhammad admitted he was just a man, charged with being a witness and a messenger. But every Prophet, even though oppposed, will succeed in establishing His Cause. He was the first “woe” of three promised in Revelation.

It is clear that Islam’s denial of the crucifixion of Christ comes from straight Gnosticism which Mohammad was influenced by as well as various other heretical forms of Christianity such as Nestorianism. If Muslims accept this is the origin of the Koran’s denial of the crucifixion and say the Gnostics got it from Allah then they also have to accept every other single Gnostic doctrine as coming from Allah such as Christ nature as a divine spirit, Mary being in the trinity, their beliefs about the goddess Sophia, dualism, docetism etc. But as no Muslim would be prepared to I think. I have proven the Koran’s plagiarized origins once again
Dear Brother,
Denial of cricifiction has nothing to do with Nestorianism. In fact the so called Nestorianism (Heresy) was more of a politiacl allegation against the the Patriarch of Contantinople (Nestorius). Now almost all Christians know about it that justice was denied to Nestorius. Very few writing of his survived following the destruction and burning of his writings. So through the history there were few could verify his stands. Fortunately one of his book survived to this date and we get insights from them. Paradox is that Nestorius was no more an alleged Nestorian heretic. All the problems were started while explaining how the the Humanity and Divinity existed in Jesus Christ. The difference were subtle. But both factions indeed agreed Jesus was both Human and God. No dispute in it. But they were bent on finding the difference and fight each other.

Both factions has adapted their theology based on the addressing the Mother Mary Theotokos or Christotokos.

Read about these things in the following website.
www.nestorian.org
It will be helpful to understand the far Eastern Churches which come under so called heretical Nestorians - yet they are not heretics as believed by west, but a church which was so ligted up to carry the Gospel of Jesus even upto China and was having probably the maximumum number of worshipers at onetime covering a very large land mass from Edessa, Middle east, India and China. A church that has survived great persecutions from Muslims and other Empires.

Without any political say or influence, they may have the most original appostilic customs and docrines preserved to date.

Interesting thing is that many factions of these church are in communion with Catholic Church today.

Hope you will be able learn much about these.

God Bless

Why Islam denies the crucifiction of Christ?

The answer is

Ever since the message of salvation of mankind is out from the God, right from the beginning Satan wanted to stop it. God promised that Woman’s son will crush his head.

Gen: 2:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

So he tried to manipulate Cane to kill Abel. Then he tried to corrupt the Human race with the angels under him by entering into sexual relation with women to bring forth a race of Giants of ancient times. Then he targeted the Noah & sons. When Abraham was called out to be blessing for the entire nations, he knew the messiah is to be from Abraham and he followed him keenly. When he came to know there is going to be a redeemer (Moses) for Hebrews after 480 years as revealed to Abraham. He tried to kill all male child of that time influencing Pharaoh to stop emergence of Moses thinking that he could be the Savior. Each time he failed to stop the God’s plan. None of these great people were the messiah.

Later he knew that savior had to be from Jews and is from King David’s line so he tries to kill the line of David. After the Prophets Zechariah & Malachi God left the Israelites in dark ages with no prophesy until the John the Baptist.

From the signs of the heaven and from the words of the Wise men he came to know the Savior is born but could not identify who it is due to God’s protection. He tried to kill the messiah/Savior by ordering a massacre of all children matching his age through the king Herod. All this show his desperate attempts of stopping Messiah’s emergence.

When Baptist John declared Jesus to be the Lamb of God who is bear the sins of the world. He tried to defeat him by tempting. He very well knew that son of God (the Word of God) descended to be a mere man and does have good chance to defeat him by tempting him in flesh. But he failed many times.

With growing influence on the crowd and bewildered by the signs Jesus was performing, Satan wanted desperately wanted to stop Jesus by hook or crook, otherwise people were going to accept Jesus as their Savior and Messiah. So he tried to kill him many times but was prevented by God until the time appointed by God. Satan tried to influence the Jewish elites and priests to that effect. Finally got Judah Iscariot too to his side.

Ultimately he succeeded in killing Jesus and was eager to demonstrate the world that He is just a man but not God incarnation or Son of God. Remember the mockery Jesus had to endure.

But God defeated Satan on his own device by giving Jesus as sacrifices. God has accomplished everything for mankind from God’s side to open the way back to heavenly adobe by Jesus’ sacrifice. The wisdom of God prevailed - Jesus could get back His life - because there was no sin in Him - Now Satan was completely defeated.

Why Islam denies the cruzification of Christ?

Answer …Continue from previous post
.

Jesus not came back alone from dead but brought many others with him as recorded in Gospel of St. Mathew - demonstrating who he is and what he is capable of.

Now the message of Salvation is simple **“accept Jesus as your sacrifice and Savior”. **And live accordingly. So the Gospel is being proclaimed to the end of the world by Jesus disciples.

St.Paul says that if any one comes with any other Gospel differing from that of the apostles is given by them, even it is an angel from Heaven he is cursed.

Galatians: 1:8, 9 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

All 12 apostles received gospel directly from Jesus during His life on earth. St Paul received gospel from resurrected Christ while he was in Arabia.

Galatians 1: 11,12 “But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

He did not get it from other apostles. So the Gospel St. Paul received from Jesus after His ascension to heaven was the same as that of other Apostles. There is no more new Gospel to come.

Remember the counterfeit can come only after the original.

Here is where Satan wanted to corrupt the Gospel. He tried to pollute them by heresies and Gnostic gospels etc. But the true Gospel prevailed and canonized in Bible.

Hence the so called last testament brought in by Prophet Mohammed is questionable in the light of Bible. And his life itself is questionable to be a prophet.

All he said in Koran is the stories from Misna the rabbinic stories (Jews did not consider them authentic - that is why they did not include them in Old Testament canon) and from Gnostic gospels those came after 2 century AD.

Here is another warning from Bible.

2 Corinthians: 11: 13, 14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.]

It is apparent that Satan had deceived Prophet Mohammed to believe by posing as Gabriel and given him a different Gospel. **It is at least once acknowledged in Koran itself that he was fooled by Satan (refer to famous Satanic verses and abrogation). **

(Bible has no such incidents with any of the prophesies by prophets of God). Now only god knows how much Prophet Mohammed was deceived by Satan. In turn Prophet Mohammed’s desires got very well quenched by his God.

**So it can be deduced that the last testament by Prophet Mohammed was a deception of Satan to corrupt Gospel to cover-up the Jesus the Savior and His mission of salvation. Those could not accept Jesus as Savior is still in darkness thus serving Satan’s desire to take them down with him to Hell. **

Is it not the ancient **Moon God **worshipped in Mecca was called Al Lah? Isn’t it strange they still have moon signs above their worship places? Still follow moon for signs of their festivals?

Most of the Muslim brethren may not be aware of this deceit they are deep in, thinking that theirs is the true gospel and they are worshiping the real one and only God. I can’t blame them.

It is my wish that they start thinking differently and ask God Jehovah and search Bible for truth. Those who seek truth will find it.

For the information of all here in the discussion - although the old testament prophets line end by John the Baptist, the line of New testament time prophets still continue to exist in Christianity. (Refer Acts: 11:27-28, 13:1, 21:9-10, 1Corinthians: 12:28, 14:1, 22, 24, and 29). But common Christians seldom are aware of it. New Testament prophetic line is the proof (manifestation) of who Jesus is as revealed in Revelation as the Almighty Lord, The God incarnation.

Revelation: 19:10 “……the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

It is my personal witness that I was once shaken in faith by Muslim teaching, But my Good Lord taught me of the deceit from Bible and to discern it restored me and brought me to a prophetic ministry where He manifest his mighty presence as you read in Bible.

In the book of Revelation Jesus says “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” Rev: 1:8
Rev: 1:17,18 “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

There is a strict warning also given by Jesus against attempts if anybody tries to corrupt or add to it.

Rev: 21:18,19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Muslims wake up. Find your Salvation in Jesus Christ.

God Bless

DavidMark,

Without the acceptance of a central authority, inspite of mankind’s ability to perceive God’s presence in the world through fidelity, care, and respect for one’s family and neighbor, the stars and all creation, we are all split up in disagreements.
Thus, we cannot in actuality be good neighbors. Can you pray to the same God with me? Can you share with me as a friend?

Without a common faith that holds certain things as true, we cannot, and the tragedy is mankind cannot accept the universal Church. If we did, and lived good, faithful lives, this world would be not be like the one we see, but one of true peace and harmony.
I pray to the same God Kathleen. I agree, there must be a Center, and God has always provided it. In mystical terms, it is the Point of Adoration, the Qiblih. People thought it was the Tabernacle tent, then the Temple; now we know it is the Divine Messenger Himself. Whenever He moves, it moves. At first, Muhammad turned to Jerusalem; but the Jews did not deserve it, by the way they treated Him. Gabriel told Muhammad several times to turn to the Kaaba in Mecca; therefore the Woman in Revelation 12 went “into the wilderness” of Arabia, like Hagar, until the year 1260, when her Child appeared out of Persia, whose symbol is the sun, with which she was clothed. (It was still on the flag of Iran until the revolution.) God doesn’t accept excuses any more. He will weld us into one world-wide community; it can be easy or hard.

That which the Lord hath ordained as the sovereign remedy and mightiest instrument for the healing of all the world is the union of all its peoples in one universal Cause, one common Faith. This can in no wise be achieved except through the power of a skilled, an all-powerful and inspired Physician. This, verily, is the truth, and all else naught but error.(Baha’u’llah, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 91)

**The real temple is the very Word of God; for to it all humanity must turn, and it is the center of unity for all mankind. It is the collective center, the cause of accord and communion of hearts, the sign of the solidarity of the human race, the source of eternal life. **(‘Abdu’l-Bahá, PUP, p. 65)

Who says Mohammed is a prophet? Muslims. Why do they say Mohammed is a prophet? Because it’s in the Qur’an. Where does the Qur’an come from? Mohammed.

Set aside for a moment where the Qur’an came from, and let’s look at what it says:
Try to look at this differently than has been done for 1500 years by warring Christians.

The Qur’án teaches the virgin birth of Jesus; it has a complete Surih – the 19th – devoted to Mary. It does not hold with the notion of three Gods (4:169; 5:77) or that Jesus the Messiah is the son of God: “God is only one God! Far be it from His glory that He should have a son!” (Qur’án 4:169).

What is stressed more strongly throughout the entire Qur’an, however, is the majesty of the Unbegotten God, who is the One Supreme Being we need to remember! Disentangle yourselves from the concept of ‘Mother of God’.

**They misbelieve who say, ‘Verily, God is the Messiah the son of Mary;’
Say, ‘Who has any hold on God, if he wished to destroy the Messiah the son of Mary, and his mother, and those who are on earth altogether?’ God’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between the two; He createth what He will, for God is mighty over all! But the Jews and the Christians say, ‘We are the sons of God and His beloved.’ Say, 'Why then does He punish you for your sins? nay, ye are mortals of those whom He has created! He pardons whom He pleases, and punishes whom He pleases; for God’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and what is between the two, and unto Him the journey is. **(The Qur’an (E.H. Palmer tr), Sura 5 - The Table)

On June 24th, 1913, in Egypt, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá was told by some missionaries that Christ was the Son of God, to which He replied that the term ‘Son of God’ was current in the days of Moses and Jesus, and was applied to the whole of Israel; He referred them to Exodus 4:22-23. (Balyuzi, Abdu’l-Baha, p.398)

Exodus4:22 **And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: **4:23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

…as Christ found existence through the Spirit of God, He called Himself the Son of God.
~‘Abdu’l-Bahá, (Some Answered Questions, 63 or The Bahá’í Revelation, p.246-7)

When the Qur’án denies Christ is the Son of God it is not refuting His Words but the false interpretation of them made by the Christians who read into them a relationship of an almost corporeal nature, whereas Almighty God has no parents or offspring. What is meant by Christ, is His spirit’s relation to the Infinite Spirit, and this the Qur’án does not deny. It is in a sense attributable – this kind of Sonship – to all the Prophets.” (Written on behalf of the Guardian to an individual believer, May 19, 1945)

The holiness of Jesus was not that He had one human parent only. Adam had none. It was not because He never married. It was because He possessed a perfect representation of the Will of God in Himself, as no one else could attain on their own efforts. God is not powerless to reveal Himself in another manner, as He promised!

We have to consider that it is the Spirit which returns, not the body of Jesus, and that Spirit of Truth can speak from a Man who has two human parents, and is the Father of 'Abdu’l-Baha, Who, to my mind, is the miracle of the Baha’i dispensation, born in Tihran on the same night that the Báb declared His Mission in Shíraz, 23 May, 1844…

Addressing the Jewish people Bahá’u’lláh has written:
“The Most Great Law is come, and the Ancient Beauty ruleth upon the throne of David.
Thus hath My Pen spoken that which the histories of bygone ages have related.
At this time, however, David crieth aloud and saith:
‘O my loving Lord! Do Thou number me with such as have stood steadfast in Thy Cause,
O Thou through Whom the faces have been illumined, and the footsteps have slipped.’”(The Promised Day is Come, p. 76)
Trembling hath seized all the kindreds of the earth,
and He Who is the Everlasting Father calleth aloud between earth and heaven.
(Bahá’u’lláh, PB 93)

Now, the Muslims are wrong if they think the body of Jesus was not crucified. The Romans may have thought they killed Him, knowing nothing of His Spirit, but it was taken up to God.

John 3: 13 "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."
Observe that it is said, “The Son of man is in heaven,” while at that time Christ was on earth. Notice also that it is said that Christ came from heaven, though He came from the womb of Mary, and His body was born of Mary. It is clear, then, that when it is said that the Son of man is come from heaven, this has not an outward but an inward signification; it is a spiritual, not a material, fact. The meaning is that though, apparently, Christ was born from the womb of Mary, in reality He came from heaven, from the center of the Sun of Reality, from the Divine World, and the Spiritual Kingdom.
**And as it has become evident that Christ came from the spiritual heaven of the Divine Kingdom, therefore, His disappearance under the earth for three days has an inner signification and is not an outward fact.
In the same way, His resurrection from the interior of the earth is also symbolical;
it is a spiritual and divine fact, and not material; and likewise His ascension to heaven is a spiritual and not material ascension…**Therefore, we say that the meaning of Christ’s resurrection is as follows: the disciples were troubled and agitated after the martyrdom of Christ. The Reality of Christ, which signifies His teachings, His bounties, His perfections and His spiritual power, was hidden and concealed for two or three days after His martyrdom, and was not resplendent and manifest. No, rather it was lost, for the believers were few in number and were troubled and agitated. The Cause of Christ was like a lifeless Body; and when after three days the disciples became assured and steadfast, and began to serve the Cause of Christ, and resolved to spread the divine teachings, putting His counsels into practice, and arising to serve Him, the Reality of Christ became resplendent and His bounty appeared; His religion found life. (Abdu’l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 104)

This is a complete explanation that will reconcile the warring nations, if they heed it.

Set aside for a moment where the Qur’an came from, and let’s look at what it says:
This is an unrealistic expectation. If we know in advance, and we do, that the Qur’an does not come from valid Christian sources, then this is not something we can overlook, because what it says is secondary. Indeed, the non-canonical gospels make many claims, but the fact that they are of doubtful pedigree means that they are not be treated as primary source material is treated.
Try to look at this differently than has been done for 1500 years by warring Christians.

Jharek, hand the me the tiny violin, please…
The Qur’án ,] does not hold with the notion …] that Jesus the Messiah is the son of God: “God is only one God! Far be it from His glory that He should have a son!” (Qur’án 4:169).
And for this, and many other reasons, we rightly reject it. It is full of lies about THE SON OF GOD, who is risen in direct contradiction to Muhammad’s later fantasies.
What is stressed more strongly throughout the entire Qur’an, however, is the majesty of the Unbegotten God, who is the One Supreme Being we need to remember! Disentangle yourselves from the concept of ‘Mother of God’.
Why don’t you stop your awful attempts at proselytizing Christians away from their faith? You will be banned shortly for continually breaching the rules of this forum.
**They misbelieve who say, ‘Verily, God is the Messiah the son of Mary;’

Blahblahblah. And what does the Qur’an say about YOUR belief in a prophet after Muhammad and your syncretism? Nothing better than what you have quoted against us, so don’t think you’re getting anywhere with this ridiculous.

As to Muhammad’s charges that Christians “blaspheme”, I consider this an HONOR coming from a delusional nutcase like Muhammad. If he was convinced we’re destined for hellfire, then we must be doing something right.

All anti-Christs, from Muhammad to your Bab to Joseph Smith, are dead and rotting in the ground. CHRIST IS RISEN.

I also meant to have the post from ‘Messages of the Prophets’ be my answer here as well…

Islam put a stake into the Sacred Scriptures and distorted them…

look at the behavior of ‘Angel Gabriel’ to Muhammed…Angel Gabriel’s last visit was to Mary at the Incarnation. Two different Gabriels.

This false angel also put a stake into Christ’s salvation of mankind through His crucifixion.

I would not draw into a faith that is based on Islam. I appreciate and respect your good intentions found in Ba’Hai…but it draws alot on the perversions of Muhammed, and does the same of drawing from Scripture but denying its intent and God given authority.

God does not call us to ignorance or distortion or staking…I know that Mormons also ‘stake’ Christian areas with ‘wards’.

Islam cannot stand on its own without the Bible. It wants to dominate control overcome. This is not the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The Eternal Word of God is complete.

What does this part mean? Your quote there seems to be saying that Christ was not actually physically Resurrected, only His teachings were - once the disciples “became assured and steadfast” (whatever that means in this context ), they started preaching the Gospel again. Is that what this is supposed to mean?

Again, DavidMark, perhaps what is needed is an objective and professional study of both Catholicism’s roots and Islam’s and see how one is solid and the other…

a mere reflection of light not its own that only serves darkness, division and continual upheavals, the opposite of peace.

I am pointing to foundations…I acknowledge the benevolence of Ba’Hai…but not its foundation coming from Islam. And Islam staked the Bible as now their own, distorting and justifying many evils.

You want a holy foundation, and Jesus Christ is the cornerstone.

This is the last of my post on this thread.

Friends,
dsheremi, struggling with God, like Jacob, just remember two things.
Islam does not deny the Virgin Birth of Jesus;
and God is not done revealing His mysteries to us.

Jay53, It is not the crucified body that saves us.

Kathleen, i thought you were done here. Can’t stay away?
I respect you a lot, even though you insinuate that misperceived perversions on the part of Prophet Muhammad are a basis for Bahá’í (not Ba’Hai).
You call for an objective study but you are already prejudiced against the subject.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving really.

DavidMark Post #571:
Why Islam denies the crucifixion of Christ
Now, the Muslims are wrong if they think the body of Jesus was not crucified
.

David, since you are an expert on Muslim as well church subjects, can you please tell me why the Muslims deny the crucifixion of Jesus?

The Muslims do not believe in the Crucifixion of Jesus. Please tell why they do not believe. Is it because:
  1. They do not believe that Jesus was put up on the cross?
  2. They believe that Jesus did not die on the cross?
What is your answer? Which of the two would you suggest? Or you have some other answer?

It is important to know from you because it is the topic and you have been passing remarks about the Islamic version. Also do not tell me that Jesus died in body but did not die in spirit. If Jesus died in body on the cross then you must believe in resurrection because Jesus was seen walking about after three days. It was Jesus himself with the same body. He met his friends and had some food from them. Welcome.

Jay53, It is not the crucified body that saves us.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving really.
That doesn’t answer my question at all. Christ saved us through His death and Resurrection.

I’m just asking you to explain that quote.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! 🙂

and now the new planten has arrived not knowing anything. With the history of this thread, here comes a Serpent.

Enough of the phony.

Ok ,Planten, you are now number 4.

No more games…go some place else…

Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the cross, fulfilling ancient prophesy and rose again and ascended into heaven…the only One…

To say Christ was not crucified is the work of the Serpent…

Friends,
dsheremi, struggling with God, like Jacob, just remember two things.
Islam does not deny the Virgin Birth of Jesus;
and God is not done revealing His mysteries to us.
I don’t care a whit that Islam affirms the Virgin Birth. You don’t know this because you weren’t here then, but around the time when I first joined this board there was a thread started about the significance of the Virgin Birth in Islam. It was something very simple like “Muslims, please finish this sentence: The significance of the Virgin Birth in Islam is…”, and it STILL went on for over a dozen pages with NO answer. No one said anything about the event that could not also be said about any other event in the Qur’an, only very general things like “it was a sign from God”, as though everyone who God wanted to use as a prophet was born in that manner.

As for your other comment, I’m not sure how to take it, so I’ll just tell you that according to Christianity the age of revelation is definitively over. No new “prophets” or books are needed or will be accepted by faithful, orthodox Christians, and that means no Muhammad or Qur’an, no Baha’u’llah or Kitab-i-Aqdas, no Joseph Smith or Book of Mormon, etc. It is all the same anti-Christ poison.
