Here is the testimony of St. Francis leaving Italy in the early 1200’s and arriving in the Holy Land of the Jews and Christians to meet with the Sultan.

It is said he had two vicious dogs come up to Francis, but they became friendly when they met Francis. He wanted to meet the Sultan face to face.

The sultan spoke first noting his courage and good manners, ‘Well, holy man, what do you want of me?’ Francies replied, ‘Only to bring you peace.’

The sultan replied, ‘But I like war, little Italian. For Allah I am conquering the world. It is why I was born and why I am Allah’s instrument.’

‘But great Prince, I am not talking about as the opposite of war. I speak of peace in your heart like a rich wine.’

‘And what, to a warrior, can bring more inner peace than victory on the battlefield?’

Francis replied, ‘Prayer, O child of Allah.’

‘Prayer? And do I not pray every day to Allah?’ Francis replied, ‘More, I am sure, Great leader, than many Christians pray.’

‘But I want to share with you a prayer. I learned by fighting the great battle with my self, by conquering one by one the demons in my own heart. Your prayer is good, I am sure, but I want to teach you a new prayer.’

‘Then pray it for me now, here in front of everyone.’

Francis knelt down and lifted up his eyes beyond the dias to a small opening in the tent that allowed the light in.

"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is despair, hope. And where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, let me not so much seek to be consoled as to console others. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.’

The sultan paused and then finally spoke. "Oh, little beggar and man of dreams, I wish in my heart that there were more gentle men like you to balance the hatred in the world. Unfortunately, the world understands only two things: power and violence. Some day, your prayer says to me the world will be turned upside down by little men who fast and pray and who die rather than take up the sword. Till then, God’s will is performed through violent men like me.’

Francis then asked, 'Will you, Lord Sultan, pray for that day?"

"I will do more, honest man, I will let you walk out of this camp alive, so that you can pray for that day. I pray that after I am gone from this earth (but not before) Allah will change his mind and use meek instruments like you and that this great army of peace-loving beggars will outnumber the forces of hatred and violence. Go to your dreams, little man.’

Prayer, detachment from the world, and penance will stop and this is the way to answer Islam. This revelation of St. Francis is the kingdom of Christ who died for us, and now lives within devout hearts of prayer, penance and love for all creation.

This kind of love is the most intelligent force in the world because it comes from Jesus.
What the Sultan is saying is that by performing violence, he is performing the will of his allah. And if Francis wants to be meek, continue to hope while the sultan goes for his massacres.

Of course, we are not asking to engage in violence to win the war against the devil. The Bible says to use the word (sword) and faith (shield). That’s why those who do not have the truth has to resort to violence. And that is typical of those who follow islam’s allah, the father of lies.

Well, hello there new poster! I see your first post is directed at a thread.

What, no introduction for the welcoming members?

BTW -

NOT all muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists these past few decades have been ALL muslims.
Ummm - growing up in the US with an Irish last name, I can say that is factually incorrect. The Troubles began in the mid to late 1960s and only “officially” ended with a peace accord in 1998, I believe. And sporadic violence still goes on.

Both the IRA and the UVF, as well as other groups, have engaged in terrorism in Northern Ireland in the last few decades. When I was growing up in the 1970s and 1980s, it was in the news frequently. I used to despair that there would ever be peace in Northern Ireland.

these groups may have been politically motivated but Catholic-Protestant tensions formed a part in why people were killing each other. At least to some degree, religious differences motivated this terrorism, in my opinion.

Some people would call chickenpox a death causing virus when others are shouting for a cure for AIDS. And what happens is the scientists are at a loss whether to focus on finding a vaccine for AIDS or divert their attention to chickenpox. Ultimately of course, millions die because resources were foolishly pumped into chickenpox, because of the un-intelligent statements of one man.

Just like some viruses do cause death from time to time, it is only AIDS that is a true killer. There are terrorists born into every race, every community, every religion every now and then. But only Islam purposefully brings forth terrorism.

Let’s speak with wisdom and stop entertaining the foolish.

Is it such a lack of wisdom to correct some errors? Terrorism is also a hallmark of organised crime such as the Mafia, and they are not known to be Muslims!!!

And how many of these Irish terrorists brought they hatred to other countries?

I don’t see what difference that should make, spn. Terrorism doesn’t need to be international to be a concern. Just look at what is happening to the native Christians of the Middle East in virtually every country. Copts get shot in Egypt, Assyrians are having genocide committed against them in Iraq, Maronites are bullied by Hizbollah thugs in Lebanon, etc. All of this is without the perpetrators setting foot outside of their native countries. In fact, I suspect many Muslims sympathetic to terrorist causes would prefer it that way, as it is plain to see that the majority of the nominally Christian west does not care at all about the fate of the Christians in the Middle East, so long as nothing happens in America/Europe (e.g., where they live).

Your comment is unrelated to the answer I provided. I mentioned Irish terrorists b/c another poster said that virtually all terrorists within the last few decades have been Muslim. I said that is incorrect. It doesn’t matter where they practiced terrorism, or whether other people think that there is/was an “equal” danger.

That having been said, the violence was not confined to Northern Ireland. There were terrorist attacks in England as well.

Whether a terrorist attack takes place in the terrorist’s own country or another country may have a huge impact on how the world views the threat from terror, but it doesn’t change the fact that terrorists are doing bad things and quite likely killing people. And b/c of the violence in NI, I don’t think it’s accurate to say that all, or almost all, terrorists are Muslim. Violence in NI continues to this day, unfortunately, although on a much smaller scale than previously.

Isn’t it interesting how so many converts to Islam rush right into terrorism as their new career?

Abu Usamah, Ahmed Santos, Bryant Neal Vinas, David Belfield, Germaine Lindsay, Jerome Courtailler, Joseph Thomas, Richard Reid, Ryan Anderson, Willie Brigitte, Adam Gadahn, Carlos the Jackal, Christian Ganczarski, Christopher Paul, David Hicks, Derrick Shareef, Hasan Akbar, Ibrahim Savant, Jack Roche, Jason Walters, Jeff Fort, Jack Roche, John Allen Muhammad, Jose Padilla, Umar Islam, Vladimir Khodov, Muriel Degauque… just to name a few.

Not that everyone does, of course. But how many people convert to any other religion so they can pursue a life of crime?

MugenOne, that’s right. Its amazing how people can be blind. Like I said…even if the WHOLE family turns to islamic terror except one by following islam, muslims and those sympathetic to them will claim Islam is peaceful.

Its amazingly ludicrous.

Mosacked, it amazingly appears that your purpose is to advertise your blog ( or some ones blog.) That is not a decent thing to do here.

Planten, do you see the donation buttons on the right or the Staples vs Gregg or Catholic Match links above? Are those indecent?

Gosh you should really try to OPEN your mind and explore information instead of constantly hiding and allowing yourself to remain stuck in your flawed ideologies.

You could at least put it in your signature, Mosacked, as I have done with links that I would like people to visit. When I see a link in the body of a post I expect it to be relevant to the topic at hand. For some reason you feel a need to link your blog in every individual post you make, no matter what it’s about. Frankly, that is tacky and annoying. .

How can something be annoying to you unless you are annoyed by it? (if you don’t understand this…try taking a cup of coffee in a cafe and thinking about it)
  • are you annoyed by the smileys on the right when you do editing?

Like I wrote earlier, I expect links in the body of posts to have some sort of connection to the theme of the thread. Placing a link to your personal blog in the body of each one of your posts is just spamming with unrelated content. I find it hard believe that you are seriously surprised that people here find that to be in poor taste.

What is of poor taste is not how someone decides to profile his posts, but how someone decides to profile his posts and then decides for another how he should profile his.

If I may borrow the use of the words of a very wise man.

John 21: 22 …“what is that to you?”

And the Tamil Tigers, the Red Brigades/Rote Armee Fraktion/Bader-Meinhof Gang, Aum Shinrikyo, Babbar Khalsa, Shining Path, Kach/Kahane Chai, FLQ, and any group with “Liberation”, “Resistance”, “Popular” or “Front” in their names…

Jharek, which is better? To dump everything you want to say into a single page, or tell people the main points and then refer them to the relevant references?

Whatever traffic you are thinking about does not bring about a profit in this world.

Thanks Mosacked!

From what I have read of their laws and their texts, I don’t read too much about peace. I gave a presentation and here is my blurb about Islamic peace. Around the world we are witnessing Islamic peace that is filled with a lot of terror, torture and killing but one thing that IS missing is the outrage by those telling us we misunderstand Islam. There is no movement within Islam to change this either. We get fatwas every so often but those do not have any weight because they go against the Koran and Sharia laws.

Muslim scholar Bassam Tibi explains:
At its core, Islam is a religious mission to all humanity. Muslims are religiously obliged to disseminate the Islamic faith throughout the world. ”We have sent you forth to all mankind” (Q. 34:28). If non-Muslims submit to conversion or subjugation, this call (dawa) can be pursued peacefully. If they do not, Muslims are obliged to wage war against them.

In Islam, peace requires that non-Muslims submit to the call of Islam, either by converting or by accepting the status of a religious minority (dhimmi) and paying the imposed poll tax, jizya. **World peace, the final stage of the da’wa, is reached only with the conversion or submission of all mankind to Islam. Muslims believe that expansion through war is not aggression but a fulfillment of the Quranic command to spread Islam as a way to peace. The resort to force to disseminate Islam is not war . Islamic wars are acts of “opening” the world to Islam and expressing Islamic jihad. **Relations between dar al-Islam, the home of peace, and dar al-harb, the world of unbelievers, nevertheless take place in a state of war, according to the Quran and to the authoritative commentaries of Islamic jurists. Unbelievers who stand in the way, creating obstacles for the dawa, are blamed for this state of war, for the dawa can be pursued peacefully if others submit to it. In other words, those who resist Islam cause wars and are responsible for them. Only when Muslim power is weak is temporary truce (hudna) allowed (Islamic jurists differ on the definition of temporary).

They can deny the above, but that means they are denying their Koran and so that means that it isn’t the word of Allah. And then we should ask ‘why do Sharia laws represent the above?’.

BTW I don’t find your link offensive. It is the same thing as others putting links to other sites. So what. If a person doesn’t want to go there then don’t. Take a peek and leave if it isn’t your forte. It isn’t selling a product or anything.

I would add some of the excerpts from Matthew and Galatians too.

Matt 22: 30 which debunks all those virgins and little boys in heaven

Galatians 1: 8-9 which addresses that angel Muhammad saw and debunks the different gospel that Muhammad gave.

And then this one: Matt 5: 19. Which is the least of the sins that Muhammad told his followers to break? Maybe it was lying. Some others might have a different idea of which is the least of the commandments.

And God said a few times that He will not lie to us. Allah was known as a deceiver. Here are two instances where we are told this: Titus 1:2 and Hebrews 6:17-18

And I love where spn8xxxx (I forget the numbers of his id) brought up the Angel Gabriel. Muhammad was scared of it and a young woman who lived in an era where they stoned unwed mothers was not.

Obviously the Bible has a lot of places where it debunks Islam.
