Ortho:
Arabs were not involved in the West African slave trade to the Americas.
I heard that the slaves that were traded or sold to America were the product of fights between African tribes and those tribes which took captives sold their captives to the Americans. And I heard another story that the chiefs of tribes became very rich (by their standards) from American traders for some of the less desirable of their tribes. Also, I cant believe that Arabs were not involved someway since they were pretty well spread out in this part of Africa by that time.

Numbers dont prove diddily squat! Truth never depends on the number of adherants. Truth is truth no matter how many believe. Truth is not a popularity contest to see how many we can get today.

So in the west or Christian countries, using naked women or women’s beauty for all sort of advertisment does not make them second class yeah?

Call it liberation but for me it is exploitation and dishonoring of women. The fact is many women are embracing Islam EVEN in the WEST because they are treated with honor and respect. Check that stats again please to open your eyes.

peace,

Its easier to be a muslim in the west because your rights are protected, I am sure you have all read this link faithfreedom.org/Announcement/601081013.htm, in a country where all are muslims, but I know the muslim response, “we dont agree with this”.

So what is the TRUE muslim belief? Muslims say that women are respected in their religion, but it seems to me the only place muslim women are respected is in the western countries, from the above link, Iran and Saudi Arabia dont seem to have the same mentality. 😦

Most of these African tribes were Muslim by that time. These little tribal wars were the source of the slaves usually, but that doesn’t stop them from being Muslim. I think you associate Arab and Muslim a little to much. Arabs are not always Muslim and you don’t need to be an Arab to be Muslim, blacks, whites, asian, doesn’t matter it is an open religion to colours. Arabs weren’t usually active in these slave trades because they are primarily in get this Arabian Peninsula. Just because Islam spread over Africa doesn’t mean so did the Arabs.

According to the article she was without her male counterpart in public, why I have to ask. This article is definitely bias in its presentation. It doesn’t give any details of the attack, except she “defended herself”. She could be lying to defend herself, or maybe she took the men the wrong way, not that I approve of what is happening, I’m just saying this doesn’t give any detail. I also have to bring up the fact that the Islamic world is not the most “sexist” places in the world. In most of Africa, which has a huge diversity of faiths women are usually less than human. In Asia women are lesser to men as well. This is not an isolated event and it just is getting more publicity right now because people are hungary to hear atrocities of Muslim countries, people just want reasons to justify their anger with Muslims.

Dear BryPGuy89,

Oh. Christians in the past did make mistake - many of the power holder left the essense of Jesus’ teaching.
But Christians are better now. We use technology for creating a better life for human.

People are prone to make mistakes. The Church never loss the essense of of Jesus’ teachings, if they did we wouldn’t know because we wouldn’t know how else to follow Jesus, as almost all Christian faiths came from the Catholic Church and it’s teachings that they have continually followed through out history. I don’t see how we use technology to better anything more than the Muslims do. Maybe you could come up with an example?

i think he means that we devote more time money and studies to benefit humanity. e.g communicatons, medical science, biology.
Christianity has contributed more to these then islam ever will.

You obviously don’t know the history of the Arab slave sultanate of Zanzibar.

Also your info may need supplementing.

You really want an example? In fact you could have made your own observation. You really want a comparison?
Ok:

Cellphones:
Almost all Christians use cellphone to communicate while some moslem use the techonlogy to make a device to blow bombs from afar.

Internet:
There are more moslems who use this device to spead their hatred ideology and lure the unsuspecting. You might know that many of ‘hardline’ islamic propaganda use internet, like Al Qaeda, etc.

Nuclear:
It’s rumored that Iranian want to have nuclear weapon not FOR electricity only.

Videotaping:
some hardline moslems use videotape to spread terror.

While most of Christians like us use technology as it is intended to, we still hope that in the future our moslem brothers will use the techology they adopt FROM the WEST for peaceful manner.

Fox

P.S. By the way, Bry, we have to follow the example of OUR LORD AND SAVIOR Jesus. Do you agree with this?

I don’t see communication as a betterment to human life, it is a conviniance, but that is all. Medical science is always good, but where is the limit? Now we have medicines that make us healthier and live longer, but they have sydaffects that are unseen. Biology is very broad. It is good to study, but what do we know in biology in Christiandom that they don’t in the Muslim countries.

A 14 to 20 million in a several hundred years is large, but compared to the slave numbers from other blacks and European trders was by far more numerous. Later in early America this number would be that of just the black population there, not including the millions in the gulf islands, and South America. I never denied the Arabs had a role in the slave trade, but the region was and still is primarily black.

I find that very rude to use these examples for comparing a radical group as to represent the whole faith. So what there are Christian terrorist groups that use these same things, there are people who use the for very wrong reason, but don’t hurt a lot of peole, these technologies have lead to some serious slipping away from faith and have become idols.
As for following Jesus, yes we need to follow his teachings, but if there is now basis or standard for people to look to, there are many Christians who feel they follow the true faith according to the Bible and in comparison to the understanding of the Church is heretical and off basis.

You asked and I answered. I hope this doesn’t offend you. We have our savior Jesus. Let us pray together to Jesus our Saviour to show us the true way, the way He showed Ghulam Ester (Read the Torn Veil).

Neverland

Do you pray to our Lord Jesus everyday? and ask for the Holy Spirit to stay on you?

I don’t want to sound offended, but I have heard a lot of anti-Islam around the area I live and thought this was in that area as well. I try to be accepting to other people and to be kind to people of all walks of faiths.

I pray everyday, always for the Lord to come in to my life and for guidance, for it is something we all need in these trying times.

Dear Bry,

Oh nice then. 🙂 I still cannot discipline myself on that. So good that a young man like you is much more pious than I.
