I am getting the creepy vibe here of the words of the Father of Lies to God in regard to Job now!
He told God that Job would not be obedient if he had not been so blessed!!!

Woah. The OP sounds like the Father of lies…With the analogies he is using here…

And we know HE wants us to think there is no Hell too!

Where did you get this philosophy from, because it does not make sense? Just because people are different and they make different decisions does not mean there is no true free will. It is false logic.

God is not a millionaire so your analogy is irrelevant. With God it doesn’t matter whether you have a lot of money. All that you need is within your grasp. God has given you the Grace, you must respond through your actions. Do what you can to imitate Christ. If everyone did all they could to imitate Christ hell would be empty. It comes down to your decision to act. Whether you cure all disease and all world hunger is irrelevant. All that matters is that you did all that you could do. If all you could do was to feed one person then you have done as much as anyone. The story in the gospels of the old woman with two pennies is very significant here. The old woman gave two pennies as alms yet she was more just than all those who gave large amounts of money because what she gave was her last. It was all she had. The two pennies wouldn’t really save any lives but it was her willingness to give all she had.
I have spoken to people of various religions, and each of them stated that by the practice of free will, they chose their specific religion, and in doing so, they said that that particular religion alone, is the " CORRECT " religion. Each was saying that they had made an independent choice, hence free will.

When I then said to them,

" Doesn’t it seem bizarre that while most people defend " THEIR " religion, and say it is the " CORRECT " religion, that the parents of these people just happen to be of the very same religion. I mean just think of the odds. Of all the religions, they, through free will, by chance just happened to defend the very same religion ? ",

their faces just turned red, and they were speechless.

**What do you see ?

Do you see a Jesus on the Cross,
Two Heads confronting each other,
or do you see all three ?**

Why MUST there be a HELL ??:

Why cannot there be a GOD who has the power to heal and repair all of mankind, including healing the minds of those who do not want to be healed. Why cannot there be a GOD who proceeds to do so such a thing such that all mankind will rise into the Heavens.

Do we have a God who cannot beat a Devil ?
Do we have a God who is a partner of a Devil ?
Do we have a God who insists upon giving a Devil a fair share ?
Do we have a God who would do the unthinkable of allowing a Devil to take power over mankind for even more than 1 second ?

Why MUST there be a HELL ??:
Who the hell knows?

  • All sin is disobediance to God.
  • Those who disobey God cannot be in His presence.
  • All of God’s creation, even the fallen Angels and fallen humans, were created as intrinsically good.
  • It is free will, also an intrinsic good, or rather the disobediance it permits, which separates us from the perfection that is God and taints, but does not destroy, the intrinsic good.
  • God will not destroy that which is intrinsiclly good.
  • Nonexistance is worse than the eternal punishment of being separated from His presence.

That doesn’t affect whether you have free will or not. It is an irrelevant point. Whether a person has free will or not does not depend on the situation you are born into. No person would dispute that a person is largely influenced by his parents and the rest of his surroundings. But when it comes to a decision he still is required to do what he can. Your point is still irrelevant because it doesn’t offer an objection to the decision making process.

And there are people who convert. Not everyone simply agrees with the faith they were born into, otherwise there would have never been any such thing as the protestant reformation because they would have simply defended the faith of their parents. People aren’t as simple as you judge them to be.

I’m afraid you are out numbered on that argument.

In truth, free will is the most challenging act that there is.

To break free from all forms of bias, is a tough challenge indeed. You have to continually expand beyond your former self, such that you can see that former self rather than just be that former self. This then allows you to see what " MAKES " you tick. Once done, you can replace this force, with a more independent decision process.

M. Buber discusses the two kinds of people that believe in God. One because he has taken the faith of his parents. His faith is stong. The other arrives at their faith through thinking, studying, reason…

The advantage to having the faith of your father is that no matter what arguments someone raises, you faith can’t be shaken. It is strong because it was handed down to you from your father. The problem is that such faith is only in response to the instruction of man and it is given without the person studying or thinking for themselves.

The advantage of faith through study and reason is that the person has found God through much effort and thinking. He has arrived at a faith of his own. The problem here is that such faith is easily shaken through evidence.

Now, the man or woman who unites both kinds of faith cannot is invincible.

This is why we (Jews) say “God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob”, instead of saying “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” It is a way of remembering that Isaac and Jacob did not merely take over the faithof Abraham; they personally searched for God as well.

There is hell because God gave us freedom of choice.
