TNT: Heaven help us all, my dear fellow catholic, I actually thought you were serious and posted accordingly - please forgive the stray “bullet”. :o As for the death penalty, well I won’t argue your honest point, if for no other reason than that I don’t agree with the death penalty for other reasons anyhow.👍
Take a moment to read this recent story.
Do a search on “Green river killer”
Read up.
Where is the justice to the 100 Mom’s and Dad’s of these young girls?
What was on these girls lips and minds as life was being wrung out of them and realizing none would rescue them? Over and over…not an ounce of remorse from the Human flesh predator.
No The death penalty is needed more now than ever before in man’s history.
Justice is destroyed by such as him who have a law that assures what he denied to so many innocents.
Remember the constant teaching of your Mother the Catholic Church:
. Punishment has the primary aim of redressing the disorder introduced by the offense.
“the traditional teaching of the Church does not exclude recourse to the death penalty,”

Where is the “redressing the disorder” by having this serial killer watch TV, exercise, read books, talk to fellow men, write letters to pen pals while his victims in their graves and families cry out to heaven for justice, unheard by the law?
How does this re-establish respect for innocent life?
It belittles it. A life is not worth a life. That’s the message. And the predators know it well.

http://home.att.net/~fast996/Prevat2.jpgthread This was started by a person who can’t be catholic! Be serious my friend you have no foundation under you.We are all
Catholic united under Jesus Christ and the Father.Catholic is Universal in faith ,steeped in deep tradition, made and founded by
Jesus Christ and the Apostles.

What I show here is worth fighting for and dying for .Take a good look “Progressive” you wouldn’t bow down before Jesus and be humble at his glory and power.

or is it this you portray a mockery of all that has gone before a “Counterfiet” a Progressive Mass fit for all that the Church decries
throughout history.

The pews sure aren’t packed at the “tlm.” How come? Or is that actually a doll-house model?

Swiss Guard:
So the Baltimore Catechism is horribly dated because it’s the personal opinion of a priest or because you continue to put horribly dated in italics?

The only reason given by the priest is that it doesn’t contain “insights” into Vatican II and can easily be debunked. How can it be debunked? Did Vatican II do away with the Holy Trinity? Did it do away with sin? Did it do away with the seven sacraments? Did it do away with the Ten Commandments? Did it do away with the Six Precepts of the Church? Did it do away with heaven, hell and purgatory? Did it do away with indulgences?

Because the Baltimore Catechism doesn’t have Vatican II’s “insights” on these matters it should be scrapped? I suppose we should do away with anything before 1965 because it wouldn’t contain the “insights” of Vatican II. The few seminaries that teach Summa Theologica and works by St. Augustine should throw them away because St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine didn’t have the “insights” of Vatican II. Summa Theologica is obviously horribly dated!

I was first taught the Catholic faith from the Baltimore Catechism and I still use it as a reference today. I also bought the Catechism of the Council of Trent which is, of course, horribly dated. Yet, I find I learn much about the Catholic faith from reading these catechisms. I also read the Catechism of the Catholic Church as well as Fr. Hardon’s catechism that he put out in the 1970s. All these catechisms are very useful to learn more about the faith.

I suggest you pick up a copy of the horribly dated Baltimore Catechism and look over it before calling it horribly dated again. If you have an open mind, you might be surprised at what you will learn.

There were two priests in a religious order, one was a modernist and one was traditional. The modernist priest accused the traditional priest of being “Pre-Vatican II.” The traditional priest responded, “So is God.” True story. Please keep it in mind the next time you throw out accusations like horribly dated. I’m still waiting to know why the Baltimore Catechism is horribly dated since you never gave a reason**.**
It’s almost laughable how protective the “trads” are of the BC. It may very well be all they can handle, but it’s sad to see how dismissive they are of the CCC. In fact, it seems like you mentioned everything except the CCC… Too “modernist” for you? LOL!

Fr. Bob Levis holds a PhD and has written his own catechism. I’ll take his word over your own about the horribly dated BC. As “conservative” as EWTN is, I have never seen them try to sell the BC – likely for good reason.

(BTW, yes the US bishops are working on a national catechism. They first and last national catechism for the USA is the BC and it’s horriby dated at this point.

Mr.Nota Bene,

You show ignorance, audacity and stupidity “doll-house model” is the
home of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I see that your mind believes that church is a contest of how many show up .In the catacombs “Mass was given to the few” who braved
the tyranny and persecution. Many were put to death for there “Faith”.

who laid all the blame for the problems of modern America on the doorstep of the Beatles.
That’s okay - I had an aunt who thought it all started when Elvis Presley twitched his hips. 😉

Just an FYI…for Bene…Progressive really is a word for , “just how bad can I screw your parish up”

Just food for thought…

I see that silly clown mass has been posted again. Do you no know that when such an extreme model is held out as a progressive mass that it is an obvious strawman. All of us decry that sort of zaniness.

My plain, regular, normal Mass is far more represented by the above picture of a TLM, if looks alone were considered.
