If there are multiple interpretations and each is using their free will to determine the truth yet coming to different conclusions…isn’t that then being subjective? If God was objectively clear, wouldn’t the other denominations…that are also earnestly searching for Gods objective truth, come to the same conclusions as Catholics
Thank you for all your questions.
2 Peter 3:15-16 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation.
So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16 speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures.
Acts 8:29-35 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over to this chariot and join it.” 30 So Philip ran up to it and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah. He asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31
He replied, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to get in and sit beside him. 32 Now the passage of the scripture that he was reading was this:
“Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter,
and like a lamb silent before its shearer,
so he does not open his mouth.
33 In his humiliation justice was denied him.
Who can describe his generation?
For his life is taken away from the earth.”
34 The eunuch asked Philip, “About whom, may I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” 35 Then Philip began to speak, and starting with this scripture, he proclaimed to him the good news about Jesus.
Was God being objectively clear via scripture to readers?
Is that a Catholic teaching that I am unaware of? If it is please do share.

In general one can interpret something wrongly when reading a book, but that doesn’t mean there’s not a correct interpretation that the author meant.
With the issue of morality there’s atheists who are against the death penalty and some that are for it. Is there an ultimate answer as to whether or not it’s wrong?

or just opinion?
