Oh, also, um…here’s your little fact of the day…ya ready?..Catholics ARE Christians!!!
Catholics are a subset of Christian.
Catholics are a subset of the Body of Christ.
Catholics are a subset of The Church.

I started this thread as a response to a thread that the bible was most assuredly a Catholic book I thought it so absurbed that I began this parody.
And now, hopefully, you know how accurate that original thread was.

Catholics are a subset of Christian.
Catholics are a subset of the Body of Christ.
Catholics are a subset of The Church.
This makes absolutely no sense.

How many Christian Churches were there in the year 200 AD?

Everyone of its books (with the possible exception of one) was written by a Jew.
What would you expect … God revealed himself to the Jewish people. The Jews were the only ones who could have been able to recognize the Messiah thus were the only ones qualified enough to do the job.

What would you want writing Scripture … pagans?

Salvation is from the Jews … and if you really want to get nitpicky … Jesus was a Jew his entire life.

Catholics are a subset of Christian.
Catholics are a subset of the Body of Christ.
Catholics are a subset of The Church.
Partially true. We become a part of the Body of Christ by virtue of Trinitarian Baptism. However the fullness of what God has revealed to man can only be found in the Catholic Church.

Have you stayed there?

My aunt once cut out an article in the Charlotte paper years ago about Mepkin.
Ive stayed at St Josephs in Spencer Ma. I love how thye chant the office.
Yes, I checked in 1pm on a monday, checked out 9am on the friday, and chanted vigils, lauds, terce, sext, none, vespers, & compline w. them every day in between. It was awesome!!! TONS of psalms. Never realized how big a part the psalms played in faith until my retreat. It was awesome!!! I’m looking into the Monastery of the Holy Spirit as my next retreat. Conyers, GA. That’s the next place I go.

How many Christian Church did we have in 300ad,in 500ad,in 700ad in 900ad,and what year did we have are first prostestant church and when did we get the word p r o s t e s t a n t ,can any one help me here,LOL

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Ok, I’m catholic and even I know that the Old Testament has an alias, maybe some people have heard of it, called the TORAH? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? Most assuredly, the bulk of the bible comes from the jewish faith alone. We live in a world where people say some crazy off the wall things & the scary thing is that some of them vote. LOL

Is it awful because it is critical of Protestantism?
What makes the site awful is that not only does it dare to critique Protestantism, but it does it with great logic and through Scripture. Nothing worse than turning your enemy’s weapons–which, such as Scripture, they stole from us to begin with–against them.

Not true in fact I would say the fullness of what God has revealed to man cannot be found in the CC.

It is awfull because it makes false presuppositions and sets up strawmen.
Give some evidence please.

You would say that, wouldn’t you?
Evidence please.
I was kind of hoping you would realize how ridculous your claim was.
I am actually kind of hoping some Protestant will disprove the Catholic Church. After all, then I can do whatever I want as long as I can somehow prove it in Scripture. As I once said in my Facebook status:

Sola Scriptura should be called Sola ‘I’ll-Do-Whatever-the-Hell-I-Want-because-Nobody-has-the-Authority-to-Tell-Me-My-Interpretation-of-Scripture-is-Wrong’.

There were many communities of Christians, but every single one of them looked to the Bishop of Rome for leadership and guidance on the important issues.
Except for the heretics, but if Hisalone believes in the Trinity, that Christ is both fully man and fully Divine, and that Gnosticism is wrong, then he would agree that those heretics are, in fact, heretics.

Right. 🙂
