Why the surveillance memo matters
.
Feb. 01, 2018 - 4:43 - What exactly is in the FISA memo alleging government surveillance abuses? Is it a scandal really worse than Watergate? Why are Dems so against its release and why are Republicans in favor of it going public? #Tucker

.

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton and Jason Chaffetz

Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley

And then the memo turned out to be more sound and fury, signifying nothing, about the Steele Dossier.

I’m afraid it doesn’t matter to many because spying on American citizens is well accepted, out of control police who use paid, manufactured evidence to get warrants is normal, and anything being justified because of the goal is commonplace. The memo isn’t surprising. We have a shadow government that controls things. But we already knew that, or should.

I didn’t kow it was available can you link to it? Where did you find it?

The memo still has not been released yet Rhubarb, you are pretending to already know what is contained in this yet-to-be released secret Government document.

Amazing.

If I were Christopher Steele and had just uncovered Trump’s connection to Russia, I would be desperate that he not get elected and passionate about him not being President too.

That doesn’t mean I’m biased, it means I’m rational.

So the memo is all about the FBI referencing the Steele dossier and a Yahoo news story as justification for obtaining a FISA warrant to investigate Carter Page - as if that were the ONLY evidence they brought before the judge. That’s totally absurd. No FISA judge would agree to issue the warrant based solely on such evidence.

Carter Page is on video praising Putin and criticizing U.S. sanctions against Russia. I would hope the FBI would investigate a “campaign advisor” like that.

Trump and his supporters have reached a new low with this one. They are attacking their own Justice Department and FBI in order to make the case that the Mueller investigation is just a witch hunt. and cover up Trump treasonous relationship with Russia.

No doubt about that now.

I read it on Breitbart. Drudge might have it by now too as well as FOX.

So is the democrat spin on this important and revealing memo.

I wasn’t sure how long it was going to take to get their talking points out for the gullible.

What connections? The one Steele made up?

What knowledge do you have of FISA courts? They are star chambers. We have no reason to believe they are run fairly and all sorts of reason to imagine they are not. The number one reason being the entire history of secret courts.

To be clear, you advocate investigations of people because of political opinions they have?

I don’t read the Washington Post and don’t have a subscription to read most of the articles requiring a subscription.

Can you explain how that is the conclusion you come to? That seems particularly odd since there is still zero evidence of Russia doing anything. The only Russian evidence is what was invented and sold to the FBI to get a secret search warrant on an American presidential campaign.
