I dare you to click the link to see how wrong you are.I don’t read the Washington Post and don’t have a subscription to read most of the articles requiring a subscription.
That statement really makes me laugh!Stephen_C:![]()
Only because Republicans put party over country. For those keeping score…

I advocate investigating people who seek to influence American politics for the benefit of foreign adversaries. For example, removing an anti-Russian plank in the GOP platform. The quid pro quo started even before Trump was elected.Luke6_37:![]()
What connections? The one Steele made up?If I were Christopher Steele and had just uncovered Trump’s connection to Russia, I would be desperate that he not get elected and passionate about him not being President too.
What knowledge do you have of FISA courts? They are star chambers. We have no reason to believe they are run fairly and all sorts of reason to imagine they are not. The number one reason being the entire history of secret courts.as if that were the ONLY evidence they brought before the judge. That’s totally absurd. No FISA judge agree to issue the warrant based solely on such evidence.
To be clear, you advocate investigations of people because of political opinions they have?Carter Page is on video praising Putin and criticizing U.S. sanctions against Russia. I would hope the FBI would investigate a “campaign advisor” like that.
It shows. The link wasn’t a news story. Just the memo.I prefer not to resort to getting any news from the WaPo.
I didn’t realize Vladimir Putin was now America. That clears up a lot. Greetings comrade.Luke6_37:![]()

Republicans put Americans first!
So yes. You do want to investigate people for their political opinions.I advocate investigating people who seek to influence American politics for the benefit of foreign adversaries. Absolutely. The GOP wants a shadow government as much as the Democrats do.Republicans in Congress really cared to fix the FISA process, they could do that without making classified information public. The GOP controls both branches of government. They have all the power they need to address any abuses that come to light.
What makes you think Christopher Wray - a Trump appointee. Is a Democrat?somebody is going to have to explain how the release of this memo was a national security risk. the only risk i see the damage done to the Democrats, which is why they were running around trying to stop its release by spewing forth their bull crap excuses.
It exposes the deep state shadow government. It exposes how FISA courts are a gross injustice. It exposes how anyone, even a billionaire running for president can be spied on. The only national security risk is that Americans will finally be fed up with the state.somebody is going to have to explain how the release of this memo was a national security risk. the only risk i see the damage done to the Democrats, which is why they were running around trying to stop its release by spewing forth their bull crap excuses.
Exactly, what national security concern is there in this. The Dems are running scared and so they should be. This is not good. The Dem diehards?Trump haters will continue to deny (see Luke above) but anyone with a discerning eye can see how shameful this is.somebody is going to have to explain how the release of this memo was a national security risk. the only risk i see the damage done to the Democrats, which is why they were running around trying to stop its release by spewing forth their bull crap excuses.
i guess you missed Pelosi on CNN. Not even Cuomo was swallowing her bullWhat makes you think Christopher Wray - a Trump appointee. Is a Democrat?
Well Cathy - That’s not what I said. Political opinions and undermining US interests to benefit a foreign adversary are not the same thing. There is “evidence” because the investigation is not yet complete. That’s the whole motivation behind this obstruction of justice effort by Congressional GOPs & the Trump White House.Luke6_37:![]()

Again, there is no evidence of quid pro quo. And what makes Russia the US’s adversary?

This isn’t a partisan issue. This is an issue of not having free elections because the state’s spy agencies investigate political opponents. I’m no fan of democracy but if that is our system it shouldn’t be corrupt.
Sorry, you define ‘undermining US interests’ as expressing a particular political opinion. There is no law against ‘undermining the US interests’. Again, why is Russia an adversary? We aren’t at war with them. That’s not what I said. Political opinions and undermining US interests to benefit a foreign adversary are not the same thing. There is “evidence” because the investigation is not yet complete. That’s the whole motivation behind this obstruction of justice effort by Congressional GOPs & the Trump White House.
Christopher Wray was appointed by Trump. He’s not a Democrat & he didn’t want the memo released.Luke6_37:![]()
