Why the surveillance memo matters

It truly is a self imposed blindness. Rather disturbing actually.

Some info is released and everywhere MSM and the Dem minions are screaming in anguish. “Dost thou protest to much” takes on a new meaning with this disturbing trend.

Releasing information is now a form of injustice according to Luke.

The GOP is the party in power. It has all the tools of justice at its disposal.
That is clearly not so as you have operatives in the FBI who are clearly out to get Trump. So they don’t have all the tools of justice since so many in the FBI, and at high levels, are corrupt.

What does your knowing anything have to do with justice? You are not sitting on a jury. You have no access to the full information. In our country, justice operates within a system. It does not operate based on popular opinion.

The GOP is the party in power. It has all the tools of justice at its disposal. The problem for them is that those tools won’t work for Trump, because he is guilty. To protect him, they need to say the tools of justice are bad by discrediting their own Justice Department and FBI.
The system you speak of requires full disclosure or its credibility is suspect. When the Democrats had the power, they used it in a political way just as you accuse the Republicans of doing it now. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the power is being used to disclose misconduct. Remember Hillary wasn’t supposed to lose …
Republicans are accusing Trump appointees Rod Rosenstein (Justice) and Christopher Wray (FBI) of perpetuating a witch hunt against Trump. That has never happened before.

While true, it’s not as relevant as the lack of disclosures cited by the memo. Something you’re not addressing.

Further, Rosenstein was the one who appointed Mueller in the first place. That’s surely not a pro Trump move. Wray once worked for the DOJ Criminal Division before going into private practice so he has ties to the FBI that long predate Trump. Surely those ties prevailed on him to defend the agency. So it’s not hard to see how both men could be considered not on Trump’s side.

Not on Trump’s side? I hope not. They are supposed to be on the side of justice.

I am sure you know full well what is in the
unverified dossier which I believe to be completely false and just part of the never ending witch hunt and never ending smear
against President Trump.
The Clintons are famous for wanting to put dirt out on their opponents. Supposedly, it was Hillary who began the birther questions about Obama.
I disagree there are bits you would rather avoid. I believe you would like the world to know.

You’re still evading the lack of disclosure that is central to the memo.

Justice in America is reliant on the presumption of innocence which is why the requirement on the prosecution’s part to disclose exculpatory evidence exists in the first place. How many court cases have we seen get overturned because an overzealous prosecutor fails to turn over exculpatory evidence to the defense. The same presumption is written into the FISA. Evidence that is potentially favorable to the target has to be disclosed to the FISC judge.

Now has that been abused before in the FISC? Most certainly yes. Which is why the message has to be sent that this provision is important. But of course you don’t want to hear about that.

I was quite happy to ignore the dossier until the GOP released the memo. Now I feel it’s necessary to read it for context.

Evidence of how crooked and how political the FBI and Comey are is his tweets about this. Donald Trump is a politician who long before he ran had an active twitter account. Comey was a person who should be above politics. But he now loves to tweet about all this. He loves to say there is nothing to this. Why? If he gets indicted he’ll have his day in court, which will hopefully be more fair than his Trump investigation and Clinton non investigation.

Only because Republicans put party over country.
That statement really makes me laugh!
Republicans put Americans first!
I didn’t realize Vladimir Putin was now America. That clears up a lot. Greetings comrade.
One must be ideologically inured to believe there is any truth left to a Russia/Trump collusion, in light of what the memo reveals.

p.s. If trying to derail a presidential campaign is putting one’s country first, “we have a problem Houston.”

And just so you know Republicans made the effort to put America first, when they ushered into law, tax reform, which every Democrat was against:

I can’t stand that self righteous man.

I know what you mean. I can’t believe he was hired by William and Mary College to teach a class in ethics!

Again, “Houston, we have a problem!”

Trump is looking mighty guilty with all his efforts to obstruct justice. From a guy who claims he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and get away with it, he really fears what Robert Mueller is going to find. Too bad you can’t see that.

You can’t obstruct what isn’t there. 🤨
