Dershowitz breaks down leaked details of IG draft

Dershowitz & Jarrett

Andrew McCabe Seeks Immunity for . . . What?

Timing is everything in life. House speaker Paul Ryan has decided to back Representative Trey Gowdy’s (foolish) suggestion that there was nothing irregular about the FBI’s use of an informant to investigate the Trump campaign. Ironically, Andrew McCabe, the former deputy director who was deeply involved in that investigation, picked the same time to make it known that he will not testify before Congress unless he is granted immunity from prosecution.

The Senate Judiciary Committee, to which McCabe’s lawyer made the request, should tell him “No thanks.” McCabe should be reminded that he is free to assert the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination if he believes truthful answers would put him in jeopardy, but there should be no immunity.

Is it true that Ryan NOR Gowdy saw the reports they were asking for before they came out with their statements about no spying???
I don’t think the people who said there was spying saw complete documents either.

It is all rumor and speculation by the politicians, media, and general public.

Wall Street Journal editorial board member Kimberley Strassel on how Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to subpoena lawmakers.

If someone in authority in the US intelligence community (i.e. Comey) really believed Russia was attempting to hack or steal or influence a US election, they had a duty to investigate ALL the campaigns.

(Why would Russia “limit itself” to one campaign?)

If they REALLY thought this, they should have infiltrated spys into Hillary’s and Bernie’s and Jill’s and Gary’s campaigns too.

The fact that they have seemed to ignore these other relevant and proximate espionage venues, suggests to me this whole circus was/is a political withhunt.

The same is true for Mueller.

At least in my opinion.

If Mueller is investigating everyone associated with Trump,
but nobody associated with anyone else,
he should be replaced by an invetigator that is more thorough after wasting over a year of this.

Someone might go further than me and say this apparent malfeasance, warrants investigating the people themselves (the “investigators”) who have carried out the selective investigation. (If Russia thinks they can hack an election, they sure as hades would also try to manipulate the people assigned to “investigate”.)

Buried in the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report – a report that found no political bias in the actions of the FBI during the Hillary investigation – is one massive bombshell: a text from FBI agent Peter Strzok to his lover, FBI agent Lisa Page. Here’s the insane exchange, circa August 2016:
Code:
Page: [Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!

Strzok: No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it.
WE’LL STOP IT?

How in the world could an FBI agent – and not just an FBI agent, but a key, high-ranking FBI agent involved in both the Hillary Clinton investigation and the Russian election interference investigation – text this? And more importantly, how could the IG then find that no political bias was present in the actions of the FBI? Finally, why didn’t the DOJ turn over this text to Congress? What possible excuse could there be for that that isn’t related to a corrupt attempt to protect their institution above the truth?

We won’t know the extent of FBI mishandling of the Russian investigation today. That’s not covered by this IG report. But it’s nearly impossible to overstate the importance of this set of text messages. It lays bare the motivations of Strzok and Page, and lends serious credibility to the contention that when Strzok spoke of the Russia investigation as an “insurance policy” against Trump’s presidency, he was serious. Critics of the Republican narrative on this point (including me) have asked why, if Strzok truly saw the Russia investigation as an insurance policy preventing Trump’s election, the information didn’t hit the press until after the election? The typical response has been that Strzok and Page didn’t see Trump winning, and didn’t need to use the information.

Their case is looking a hell of a lot stronger today. This is an explicit admission that high-ranking actors in the FBI saw preventing Trump’s presidency as paramount. Barring some highly damning information demonstrating the full legitimacy of the Russia investigation, this text from Strzok to Page could and should completely destroy whatever faith that America still had in the legitimacy of the Russia investigation.

Thanks for posting this Caldera.

Very important information.

I am going to dedicate a thread to it too.

(Hope you don’t mind me taking your story there.)

From your Daily Wire link . . .
FBI Employees Leaked To The Press Regularly. According to the IG report, “We identified
numerous FBI employees, at all levels
of the organization and with no official reason to be in contact with the media, who were nevertheless in frequent contact with reporters.”
FBI agents received “benefits from reporters” as well, including golf outings, drinks and meals.
(Emphasis mine)

Wow!

This is terrible.

Either this is treason,
or purposeful media manipulation by the U.S. intelligence community
(which if effective in manipulating the press, results in essentially a quasi-state-run media
or in this case a deep-state-run-media
if these U.S. Federal Government reports from the U.S. Inspector General’s office are true!)
or some of both.

I wonder has there been ANY significant accountibilty?

Has ANYONE gone to jail? Lost their security clearance? Why did this happen in the first place?

Was Comey aware of this corruption and what if anything was done?

Inspector General Destroys DOJ and FBI Credibility

The Justice Department Inspector General’s report on the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s scandalous email practices is out, and as I predicted, it has destroyed the credibility of the Department of Justice and the FBI.

It confirms what we have investigated and revealed for nearly two years. The Obama DOJ/FBI investigation of Clinton was rushed, half-baked, rigged, and irredeemably compromised by anti-Trump and pro-Clinton bias and actions. It is outrageous to see a politicized FBI and DOJ then so obviously refuse to uphold the rule of law.

The IG report details repeated DOJ/FBI deference to Hillary Clinton, her aides and their lawyers. Americans should examine the report and judge for themselves whether the over-the-top deference to Hillary Clinton can be explained as anything other than political, especially from agencies that at the same time were actively collaborating with the Clinton campaign’s Fusion GPS to spy on and target then-candidate Trump. The IG report details how at least five top FBI agents and lawyers exchanged pro-Clinton and anti-Trump communications. The IG shares the concerns of Judicial Watch and millions of Americans that this bias cast a cloud over the credibility of the Clinton email and Russia investigations.

An incredible example of this bias was found in a text message of FBI official Peter Strzok, who promised to “stop Trump” from becoming President. Strzok was both the lead FBI agent on the sham Clinton investigation and on the anti-Trump Russia investigation!

As we have demonstrated through independent investigations and lawsuits, there is more than enough evidence that Clinton knowingly and intentionally mishandled classified information while using a non-government email system to conduct government business.

Will the Sessions Justice Department now do the right thing and conduct a Clinton email investigation properly? Or will it let James Comey and Loretta Lynch have the last word on Hillary Clinton’s evident email crimes?
