There is so much to be said
  1. I think that the “dishonesty” of the MSM doesn’t stand serious scrutiny; it is story invented to control the story.
  2. The dragging of reporters into the fray reporters is rarely in response to news stories, far ore often it is about personal tweets.
  3. The comments I made on the distortions in Carlson’s piece are about his reporting. He is definitely steering people away from the truth; presumably he knows his audience.

dvdjs (on mainstream media dishonesty) . . .
it is story invented to control the story.
How do you know this?

This seems like another liberal conspiracy theory to go with the phony Russian collusion narrative.

Who told you about this “invention”?

Who “invented” it?

The problem is that conservatives DO watch the MSM until they just can’t take it anymore. They know what is being said there and it often doesn’t jive with the things we see actually happening. With our own eyes. I know my brain isn’t as sharp as some folks on here but I think I can still see and hear half truths and bias coming from many news anchors and reporters and opinion speakers…

The MSM has made their own reputations. Fox News did not make them… They have to OWN it for themselves. So, just watch Fox News and if it sounds like half truths–STOP WATCHING. That’s your opinion. Praying for all of us to take some steps back and become one nation again…

The FISA Documents Used To Wiretap Carter Page Just Dropped

If you’ve tried to follow the ever-changing Trump-Russia collusion narrative, you’ll know that back in 2016, the FBI obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to wiretap former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

Until now, both Democrats and Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee have sent out memos trying to characterize the Page warrant in their respective favors, but now The New York Times and other news outlets have obtained the warrant applications through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

It turns out the dossier created by Christopher Steele and paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign really was a significant source for the FBI’s warrant. Steele appears to be “Source #1” in the document, who claimed that Page met with two sanctioned Kremlin insiders while in Moscow. Page adamantly denies the claims.

If you don’t know that we have a shadow gov, then you are not well informed. From my studies, this shadow government, in the name of security, has grown or blossomed post WWII, and is fundamentally unconstitutional.

As far as paid, manufactured evidence… This is what the NSA and similar military or quasi military agencies term “sources and methods”, and these “sources and methods” are immoral and are carried out by immoral agents of the government. And of course, the whole “shadow government” is secretive; like Nazi Secret Police.

Ed Snowden did much to expose these turkeys.

This whole Russia debacle reeks of “immoral sources and methods”.

Studies can form one’s opinion. So it’s practically saying the same thing.

How about the Fourth Ammendment to the Constitution and some common sense? Or maybe you believe that the Founders didn’t intend for all searches and seizures to require probable cause? Maybe you ascertain from the Declaration of Independence that entrapment is not an abuse of power.

How about the leaked classified documents of Ed Snowden? Choose your book to read by a well known journalist.

this is all conspiracy theory, hardly academics…your “studying” is suspect.

Academia doesn’t have a clue.

I think they are referred to as “Ivory Towers” b/c they never come out of the towers.

Study some law and get some real life experience if you really want to understand the social environment in which you live.

CIA chief under Obama fabricated information AND ALSO failed to stop Russian meddling under Obama’s watch … but, of course, Obama said he was going to muck things up.

OOPS … “HOT” open mike.

click here google you tube clapper Obama's Former Director of National Intelligence Says Obama Behind Entire Russia Witch Hunt!

President Obama’s former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, came clean on CNN and stated that former President Obama was behind spying on President Trump!

James Clapper was on CNN yesterday and he stated that Obama was behind spying on President Trump and all the corrupt and criminal actions involving the government, including the Mueller investigation –

According to Obama’s former spy chief, James Clapper, who appeared on CNN to say it was Obama who set the entire Russia witch-hunt into motion by tasking the intelligence community assessment.

Clapper said –

If it weren’t for President Obama we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set up a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today including Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation. President Obama is responsible for that. It was he who tasked us to do that intelligence community assessment in the first place.

If the information in the FBI’s Carter Page warrant constituted probable cause for wiretapping an American political campaign, then the process and the officials involved in it carried out one of the most significant known violations of American civil liberties in recent history. The documents released over the weekend reveal quite clearly that the only information that even remotely connected Page and the 2016 campaign to Russia came solely from Fusion GPS dossier and a Yahoo News report that was based on the same information from the same source.

The first warrant says plainly that the FBI already was convinced that the “Russian government’s efforts are being coordinated with Page and perhaps other individuals associated” with the Trump campaign. Make absolutely no mistake. This was, from the very beginning, an investigation of the Trump campaign and anyone in it with any ties whatsoever to Russia. The FBI presented the conclusion that Page was the mastermind of this without any serious foundation beyond the Steele dossier.

If I were a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court judge, I might well have signed this one-sided warrant, too, especially given the unvarnished judgment of the FBI, and because I would not have been told that this was all really from a single source creating a vast echo chamber, and that it originated with secret funding from the Democrats.

If the information in the FBI’s Carter Page warrant constituted probable cause for wiretapping an American political campaign,
Carter Page was the target of the surveillance, not the campaign. Page was no longer with the campaign when the FISA warrant was issued. With that inconvenient truth, the rest of the story crumbles. Worse, this source is repeating the tired claim that Yahoo was a source of information connecting Page to Russia, when the warrant makes it clear that that was not the case at all: the Yahoos story was mentioned in a section on Page’s denials. Finally, given the redactions, it is nonsensical to say that one thing or another are the only sources of information.

Try reading the warrant and responding to it rather than just relying on some partisan talking points that you like.

The problem is that the FISA application and documents show that officials used the infamous unverified Steele dossier to obtain the 2016 warrant AND the renewals. Sure, as Democrats like to argue, the application also contains evidence unrelated to the dossier…an unredacted portion of the application discussed efforts by Russian agents in 2013 to recruit Americans as assets. YES, 2013…3 yrs BEFORE the election, if Democrats could only do math…

The reason Page has never been indicted over 4 years of investigation into everything he’s ever said, done or written is simple and doesn’t require a conspiracy theory to figure out, it’s because he’s never done anything that has violated US Law. The more interesting question is of course, why would the FBI devote thousands of hours of man-hours trying to dig up dirt on someone when every avenue they explored determines he was absolutely clean.

The FBI KNEW that Page wasn’t an agent of the Kremlin when the FBI application was written, they fail to mention that in the application though….Page was first contacted by the FBI in 2013, as an FBI ASSET helping to convict the Russian spy Evgeny Buryakov in March of 2016. Six months later, the FBI is seeking a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page….RIGHT.

Why is that a problem? It wasn’t for the four judges appointed by republican presidents.
