What are the best arguments?
Depending on whose books a prophet is defined. In the Koran , he is their prophet. From Christian viewpoint, he is not qualified. He did not prophesy and he did not do miracles. IOW no evidence that he is what he claimed to be, a messenger of God.

I won’t use his lifestyle as a measurement as there are many OT personalities that did not live an exemplary lifestyle as well.

Since Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, He is the last prophet, and the fulfillment of all prophecy. All who followed him were, by definition, false (Muhammad, Joseph Smith, Manalo, etc.). Essentially, both Muhammad and Joseph Smith reversed revealed truth about the nature of the Godhead, and denied the divinity of Christ. Anything that contradicts established revelation is not from heaven. Muhammad denied that God is Father, as King David first taught, and claimed that Allah is a slave master. There is no love in Islam, only fear of Allah, hence the willingness to instantly obey what are thought to be his commands. But, the Muslims maintain that the scriptures were adulterated, so only Muhammad’s revelation may be trusted - and then only in the Arabic language.

Muhammad reduces Jesus to a prophet. He does not teach the true divinity of Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, Lord and Savior of the World.

Wow, great job summing that up. 👍

In the Bible St. Paul talks about being cautious of false prophets

Christianity is the only religion on earth that teaches God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) Other religions have only a natural faith based on human reason. To believe that Jesus is the divine/human Son of God takes a super-natural faith which Christianity alone has among all religions of this world. If you would like to see and hear more on this check out the Vortex on churchmilitant.tv. I think the episode would be the one for Thursday, July 11, 2013. 🙂

Of course, but Muhammad used Jesus to covert Christians. Most religions have no doctrine on Jesus. And a few say he was a very wise teacher, but never put that in their doctrine. Muhammad mentions Jesus in the Qur’an and reduces Jesus to a prophet. This was most likely intended to convert Christians. So 1) Islamic doctrine reduces the divinity of Jesus and 2) it is to lead people away from Christianity.

What I wonder about is that Muhammad taught that, of all who have ever been born, only Mary and Jesus were “not touched” by the devil at their birth. So, why then follow a “prophet” who was touched by the devil at birth, while rejecting one who was not?
