Why won't non-Catholic Christians recite the Holy Rosary?

Thank you too Good Fella for letting me know that we are all praying the Rosary together. Praying together makes it even more meaningful šŸ‘

Patrick Madrid is the one I have heard say such things:
ā€œProtestants all they talk about is how Jesus died on the cross.I hardly ever hear them talk about how Jesus rose from the grave.ā€
I guess I should make it a point to take notes since not enough people listen to the show.
Father John Corapi has also made such statements.
Being a protestant I know what you mean about what they say about Catholics.
It goes both ways. Catholics donā€™t like protestants and protestants donā€™t like Catholics. So they find fault with each other.
Sorry you doubt what I am saying but I am not making things up. I know what I have heard on EWTN.
Maybe you should listen more often.

What we disaagree with is a belief held by some non-Catholics, known as ā€˜Once Saved Always Savedā€™ (OSAS). This is basically the idea (with a few variations) that BECAUSE Jesus died for your sins, you can pretty much sin as much as you like in the future and will never lose your salvation. Or that BECAUSE Jesus died for your sins, you just need to sit back and twiddle your thumbs and wait for heaven - that thereā€™s nothing further to be done on your part.

You know there are many ā€œgood men of Godā€ priests who have lived lives of sin. Why?
Was it because of purgatory?
Why live good lives when you get another chance in purgatory?
OR was it because Mother Mary would help them get to heaven?
Iā€™ve heard that Mary can get anyone into heaven.
My point is:
People mess up on both sides. There are good protestants that live their lives as if Christ is coming today to judge the living and the dead. And I would like to believe that there are good Catholics who also live their lives to please the Lord as if he was coming today to judge us all.
Maybe ā€œOSOSā€ doesnā€™t mean what you have been taught it means.
Just like saying a prayer asking Mary to pray for us sinners,isnā€™t praying to Mary as I was told. Or having pictures of Mary and statues in every Catholic church isnā€™t worshiping an idol,as protestants are taught.

ā€œBlessed are thou among women and Blessed is the fruit of thy wombā€ was said to Mary by her cousin Elizabeth.

The rest is asking Mary for pray for us.

How can anybody take exception to this beautiful prayer?

You must remember that there are over 40 000 different nonCatholic denominations all teaching different things. There are nonCatholics who say we re-crucify Jesus on the cross at Mass daily. That is ludicrous - simply no true. Protestants tell us all the time what we believe! Isnā€™t that funny? Surely *we *should know what we believe? We can tell them over and over and over again what we do believe - they will insist in telling us that this is no so. :confused: So this is a situation which doesnā€™t lend itself to debate.

But we do not dislike Protestants. When I think of Protestants I remember the amazing people who have converted to the CC and who have contributed immensely to the Church. The Catholic Church doesnā€™t belong to us. It belongs to the whole world because it is the Church Jesus Christ founded.

What does it mean to be Protestant? It means to protest against the Catholic Church! It therefore follows that the Catholic Church came before the Protestant churches. In the CC there are all kinds of people and since the Church is the largest of the Christian churches it has more sinners than anyone. You know, the wheat and the taresā€¦!

This is not a contest. This isnā€™t my club against yours - my church against yours. That is silly. When one pursues truth one must keep oneā€™s eye on that aim always. We should all strive for truth and share it when we find it.šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

Iā€™ve only just started praying the Rosary recently looking to deepen my connection with Christ and to ā€œmeetā€ Holy Mary, Mother of God and Iā€™ll tell youā€¦it was just on Fridays ā€¦then I went on Wedsā€¦than on Tuesdayā€¦( I go to a very small chapel in town after work) now at work or drivingā€¦ in moments ā€¦I find myself praying the Rosary and it is a very peaceful feelingā€¦and I realize that many other people are praying at the same moment and Iā€™m finding that part very intense šŸ™‚

šŸ˜¦ I think thatā€™s it. Iā€™m in a bible study with fellow Christians. None of them are practicing Catholics. Iā€™ve come to realize many of my classmates will not have anything to do with anything that is not in the bible. Sola Scriptura. Frankly, my Catholic faith has a multitude of traditions and prayers that I find very meaningful and beautiful.

thatā€™s a very good question. to me the Gospel of the Lord is the Word of God and I treat it as the hukamnama (the Sikh equivalent to the Gospel) I mean the Lord has been so merciful to us and He has nothing but compassion for us. so why not praise him? to me the Gopels and the teachings of the Sikh Religion are both pathways to the Almighty. Mother Mary gave up so much for us. She sacrificed her son for our redemption and I believe this makes her our Maa, out mother, and out of due respect she deserves praise.

Protestants do recite the rosary. Some of them even end up becoming Catholic after doing so for awhile! My sister was an Eplscopalian priestā€™s wife. They both started praying the Rosaryā€¦Guess where they are now??? (Hint: it isnt the Episcopal church! šŸ˜ƒ

This is an area I fall short inā€¦it is in my heart to do so. Before I converted I used to sleep holding it because I didnt know how to pray it. Now, I need to work on the disciplineā€¦ I would appreciate any prayers you send my way.
