Why won't non-Catholic Christians recite the Holy Rosary?

What part does man have in salvation? Do you believe in faith + works = salvation? Do you have to work for your salvation? What is your defenition of Faith?

Jesus died for my sins so I could have eternal life with Him. It doesn’t mean I’m not going work ANYWAY. I could have graduated college without cracking a book. But I studied anyway. And I graduated in the top 5% instead of the bottom 5%.

But like I said, I’m not lazy, and I don’t presume God would be pleased with the bare minimum.

So it sounds to me, like reciting the rosary, is a choice rather than an obligation; or is it an obligation for catholics? It is not a part of or requirement for salvation, so I suppose that reciting it, however many times, would amount to a confirmation of one’s feelings for Mary’s humble service to her God!

Here is how… King David, Liar, Adul.terer, Murd.erer, Passive weak man, Coward, Non trusting in God… Yet he is called a “Man after God’s Own heart.” and here is why… After David Committed all those heinous sins, He was broken and Fell on his knees and acknowledged his need for God and had a heart of Repentance.

Abraham, Liar Almost killed his own son. yet, He trusted god and Reseaoned that God could raise the De.ad and Followed his Commands. It was Credited to him as Righteousness.

All of these men had hearts that followed God and had Repentance. They had hearts that were willing to be shaped by God.

God said They will know you by your Fruits…(hint Hint Works required with Faith and Grace) IF you are not producing Fruit and furthering the kingdom of God, Not Judging, but most likely your not a child of God. 1 John says if you do not have love you are not a child of God.

We are assured of our salvation, through the Sacraments, Through our love for one another, a love that only Christ can Produce.Through our obedience to God’s word. Through our Acceptance of Jesus’ Final and absolute sacrifice. If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousnesses.

You how ever can not accept Christ and then do nothing. Saying you believe is one thing, The demons believe too. You must act out your Faith, FAITH WITH OUT WORKS IS De.ad! you show me your faith, and i will show you my Faith through my works, said James. Our assurance is personal and no one can judge us if we are or aren’t going, Some even say we cant even know, but i Disagree, if you are working and producing fruit through your faith and Grace, Loving in a way only Christ can love, serving others over yourself, honoring God’s word and trying your Damnedest to do what the bibles says, and trusting whole heartedly with out hesitation on our lord God and Savior…Chances are, your saved.

Probably because of the “Hail Mary”…I know that is why I do not recite it. I currently don’t believe in the intersession of Mary or of the saints.

So if Abraham can hear the prayer of the richman in hell, how much more can Abraham or Virgin Mary hear our prayers?

Is it wrong to pray to anyone else but God? Well Jesus Told the Story of the Rich Man and Lazarus above and Jesus did not add "oh by the way do not pray to Abraham.

As for repetition of prayers, Jesus taught us to prayer the Our Father, when we pray. So my point is do we say the Our Father only once in our life time FOR FEAR OF BEING REPETITIVE? Because if we say the Our Father twice in our life time that is repetition. Truth is any prayer can be repeated over and over again. By the way the Our Father was a pre written prayer.

Are you trying to justify your own lack of enough praise? Can one pray too much? I didn’t think that was possible.

Maybe you should focus on your own relationship with Him. Those that devoutly pray the rosary have one with Him that you seem to not be able to understand.

Dude, your a Typical Protestant. Good Works get you nothing. you can not earn your way into heaven. BUT you must do works in order to work out Your Faith. You can not simply say the Sinner’s prayer and then do nothing. JEsus said You must be Hot or Cold, for if you are Lukewarm i shall spit you out of my Mouth.

You must work. but works do not save, JEsus’s blood does. You must have faith, but faith does not save, Grace and jesus’s blood does. But Faith with out works is Dead. so WE are saved by Grace through Faith, and works show our faith. You can not have faith and not work. If you do your a fruitless tree an God will cut you down. You are incorrect faith does saved if it is in the right object, Jesus christ. Read Eph 2:8-9, Titus 3:5; Is. 64:6.

Eph 2:1-3 tells us that before we were saved by faith were dead spiritually as a result of our sin. Now tell me, can dead person do anything? No. That is why in verse 4 God makes this dead person alive. We are saved by grace through faith in what God has done for us. Works do not have a part in our salvation. Works come after salvation, Read Eph. 2:1-10 and you will find works in verse 10 after salvation and not in verses 1-3 before slavation.

Faith with out works is but it does mean that there is no faith at all. If you say that your car battery is does it mean you have no battery? No, it means your battery is not working properly. The same goes for faith. faith is faith that is not working properly. James is talking to Christians and telling them what they should do with their faith after salvation. The words in bold… you just Contradicted yourself. AND NO FAITH DOES NOT SAVE.

The blo.od of Jesus Christ is the only Thing that Saves. Nothing else. Not budha, Not faith, not even grace. The blo.od of jesus is the only thing, If you do not have the blo.od of jesus Christ covering you, then no amount of Grace or Faith is gonna save you. And no what you saying about james is wrong. Again something Typical protestants do is take what is said in the bible out of context to fit what you want to say.

James is writting to a church that SAYS they believe but do nothing. He is saying you MUST DO SOMETHING, other wise you are no better then Demons. Demon’s believe, they have better faith then us, but are damned.

YOU MUST WORK. If you dont you are worthless and Christ will cut you down. Get over it and work or dont and sit in your own Laziness and burn.

The Changing love of Christ will make you work. You will want to spread the love of God. Because you want people to feel that Love that you do. IF you have no desire to Spread and further the Kingdom of God in any way shape or form, guess what your not saved and damned and no better then the Demons.

now back to what this post is about. Praying the Rosary again gets you nothing. It is a string with Beads and niffty cross with a dude hanging on it. BUT why do you pray the rosary? do you pray just pray and because someone told you to? Or do you pray to grow closer to God and talk to our heavenly father and bring our Pain and suffering and voice our hearts to our father and then tell this to our mother in heaven so that she too can pray for us and take our Requests and supplications to her son, because she is far more perfect then us and the bible says The prayers of a Righteous man are powerful.

We are supposed to pray the rosary to grow closer to our father and through this Sacramental we grow in our faith and walk closer with our God.

What more can God ask for other than our complete sincerity and strongest effort at striving for perfection with the help of his grace?

If we honestly strive to do our best to please God, he will help strengthen us with his grace. We are justified as long as we remain in God’s grace or favor.

At Fatima, our Lady of the Rosary asked us to recite this prayer after each decade:

“Oh, my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
and save us from the fires of hell.
Lead all souls to heaven,
especially those in most need of your mercy.”

Our faith won’t save us unless it is completed by our acts of repentance. Human merit does have an essential role to play in our salvation. Nor is our justification a one-time event, but rather ongoing through our collaboration with the work of divine grace.

Therefore, we are not discouraged; rather, although our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
