Peace and love :signofcrossLol, please don’t take offence to my question… I am just interested on hearing different opinions on different faiths!because I am a Catholic
why on earth would I join a religion founded by arguably the most sadistic King ever to sit on the British throne?
Please don’t take offense but I prefer the Church founded by Christ. It may be old, but it remains true. God bless. As above, just wanted to know why not?

No offense taken at all! I’m just curious. Please don’t take offense but I prefer the Church founded by Christ. It may be old, but it remains true. God bless.
Because the Catholic Church is the only Church founded by Christ. As above, just wanted to know why not?

You have an insatiable thirst for being which? Catholic or Anglican?Ummm . . . lemme think . . . . uhhhh … Truth? Being human, I have an insatiable thirst for it.

The antecedent of the pronoun “it” in my post is “Truth.” I was referring to the fact that the human intellect, by its nature, desires truth. The fullness of truth is revealed in Jesus Christ who established a Church to safeguard and promulgate truth to men in order that all might attain the communion with God and one another that God desires. You have an insatiable thirst for being which? Catholic or Anglican?
I assume you mean Catholic…
Well, to be fair, Rome did let him off the hook once. Maybe he just had unrealistic expectationswho quickly abandoned the Pope and the Church when he was not released from his sacramental vows to his wife.
Because the Catholic Church is the only Church founded by Christ.
All other “churches” were founded by men.
Well put. Amen to it all. (Ex 20 year veteran of the ECUSA).This is my personal opinion, having been a member of the ECUSA for about five years and will be coming into the Church this Easter Vigil…
Because…
On the outside, it [meaning ECUSA from here on out] appears and wants to appear Catholic on the outside, but once in…no where near being Catholic.
I see alot of people who leave the Catholic Church, to go to ECUSA, just because they can’t get an annulment or don’t want to go through the process and do not like authority, especially with the Sacrament of Reconcilation.
It’s not the Church founded by Jesus Christ.
Because it allows openly gay people to be bishops and supports abortion.
Also, allows openly gays and lesbians to be Priests. or Rectors, or whatever.
There are reallly no beliefs outside of the Nicene Creed or Apostales Creed, therefore, opens the door to all these other issues, leaves too much up for personal interpretation, therefore causing muck in their church…and we can see what all is happening on the national level.
