Evolution has no practical scientific value. Drug discovery is very expensive because it’s trial and error. Evolution provides no guidance.

Trigger warning: Science

And, the person who produced these videos is a viral pathologist, who studies exactly what you’re talking about, how to develop drugs and treatments for viral diseases.

Well, when an environment changes rapidly, most species do go extinct. We see that. but when an environment changes gradually, those species already most suited for the new environment evolve traits that make them even more fit for the new environment.
Millions and Millions of years later there was an environmental change that worked in perfect harmony with evolution. Now you need to multiply that perfect environmental scenario millions and millions of times for evolution to produce all the millions plant and animal species have today.

That cannot be explained. Everything has to be part of everything else in order to survive. This delicate balance can exist in a designed scenario, but getting all the life forms and environment into balance in a “natural” way? A lot less likely.

Environmental change is a key pillar of evolution. Really really weird that you dont know that.

I actually proved, mathematically even, that natural selection and mutation can be a creative process. And the evolution of new traits by that process is observable in controlled lab conditions.
You may be the last one to think NS is creative, Everyone else is abandoning that position.

Link?

I literally use evolutionary algorithms as creative processes at work so that would be quite surprising.

Yes, that is the god of NS evo’s bow too. Let’s work hard to get people to believe it is from outside the organism rather than inside. We now know this is obsolete as we have seen the immense power contained in the organism with designed respond to the environment.

That’s what I’m saying, how many environmental changes do you think it took evolution to produce the millions of different plant and animal species we have today?

“Why are dinosaurs gone”
Dinosaurs went extinct…yet they still had time to morph into birds. 🤔
Some did.

The vast majority did not. They turned into fossils (and, I guess, oil).

So why don’t we see people in the fossil record?

So back to the original question of what the implications are for apologetics whether you believe in evolution or not, I have yet to see a single anti-evolutionist on this board even accurately explain what the theory of evolution is. So it falls very well under St. Augustine’s admonishment against Christians making fools of themselves and badly representing Christianity when they presume to make proclamations on this subject without taking any time to actually understand the theory at all.
