God Bless you, your wife, and that little miracle! Hubby and I are not newly married (see my ticker) but we are relatively new parents. NOTHING can prepare you for the joys and struggles that parenting brings. Rely on God’s grace and turn to His wisdom and love…we weren’t meant to do it alone. Love your wife, it is the best gift you can give your child:thumbsup:
Thanks! And our prayers to you and yours as well. May the grace He has given be passed on.

I think revenge is in order here.

Wait until well after the baby arrives, and then, one evening when you are preparing for bed, whack her upside the head with a pillow! 😉
Good idea! She’ll probably wonder why and we’ll have a pillow fight! 😃

If anyone noticed, the OP had stated that he has never seen his wife like this before and that he ADMITS he hasn’t been there for her 100% all of this can build up in an emotionally unstable pg woman, at this time, so does he deserve it, no of course not, but she didn’t throw anything at him, she just threw things, and he didn’t say what she threw for all we know it was a pillow, or a piece of paper, or her shoe, or her purse or the tv remote…GOD knows the point is that even though her actions are not acceptable it was the only way she seemed to be able to get his attention for whatever reason and he needs to deal with this the best way possible which is through communication…

She doesn’t deserve to be punished or persecuted or spoken bad about for her actions just like he doesn’t either even after admitting he hasn’t really been there for her, they just need to talk and work things out…As long as he is willing to work it out and she is they should be fine, GOD willing!

I just get the feeling that the OP has really been ignoring whatever subjects of matter his wife has tried to reach him about, maybe not meaningfully but as he also stated in previous posts, he tries to avoid confrontations and likes to stay at work a bit late, that too could be part of the reasons for her lashing out…

So before anyone starts reducing this woman to a person who can’t seem to control herself, let’s just think for a moment that the information the OP has started out with wasn’t really sufficient enough to really say much except what we can advice regarding communication…and the fact that he seems to be handling it pretty well! And that I do hope that things work out… I am sure he means well and is serious about dedicating his time for his wife and not so much for himself as he posted that it seems he’s been doing…

I know having a new baby is difficult in all aspects and the fact that men emotionally might have a bit of a strain in accepting that they will no longer be the number one in their wives minds/bodies/etc…it’s a transition of husband to fatherhood that can stress a man out as well enough to ignore certain issues with his wife and that’s normal, but he too needs to put in his part. That was very sweet of him to cook for her, because even though what she did was wrong, and his pride might or might not have been hurt, he did something that Jesus would have done which was instead of telling her off, do something for her-cook for her-make sure that baby had some good food…He’s not rewarding her, he’s making sure his baby will have something good to eat, nutrition which is important for any unborn child!! 😃

I do wish them well and God bless them, hopefully last night he was able to speak with her and they were able to work things out…
Thank you and very insightful. We did have a good conversation last night and the seeds have been planted. We can only pray God’s word will continue to feed us both.

We could always start a support group…Angry Hormonal Women! LOL!

This could be our symbol…:stretcher:
or this
:slapfight: …or maybe this…:blackeye: :crutches: LOL!!!
LOL!!! Now that’s the way to start the morning. 😃

I am suprised that this thread has advanced only to “they need counseling phase”. Usually by this time someone is telling them they need to get divorced and/or file a police report on their abusive spouse.!
Is there a support group for pillow throwers? There should be! And something where the pillows get the help they need too. What a sad, sad day for pillows! And with all the advancements they’ve made, first only being made for beds, now they are for couches and chairs. Let’s not forget their cousin the bean bag chair, huge, huge advancement for the pillow. And now this. I just don’t know what to say.

hehe! :slapfight:

For the record: I recant my objections to how this woman treated her husband. Obviously he is a cad and a mean husband and deserved what he got; she is a troubled woman who is scared and acted out of a moment’s mistake. It will obviously never happen again. My mistake for asserting otherwise.

So everyone can stop making me the monster?
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye”

Rod I don’t think GhostMan meant wrong when he said this I think he is trying to put his perspective on the wrong ways of his children’s mothers and is afraid for you…That is all. I understand him and so should the rest but even though it has nothing to really do with your situation because she did that only once and if she does it again at least you will know how to handle it better and if after the baby is born she continues then you are in need of professional help but I doubt that’s the case!

I am very glad you have worked things out with your wife, GOD bless and good luck! Keep us posted on that sweet bundle of joy! How exciting and how much I wished I would be able to share a wonderful experience like that again with everyone here! God bless and have a great day!

as long as you don’t remove the label from the pillow, it should be ok.😛 what a crazy law that is, no?

Okay, final thoughts like in Jerry Springer. 🙂

First, thank you all for your prayers and/or advice, God knows who you all were.

This is the reason why Marriage is considered a Sacrament because there are a lot of struggles and learning that comes with it. There is humility and humbleness which Fr. Corapi calls the “Nuclear Weapon” in Spiritual warfare which leads to a reexamination of conscience and Reconciliation.

It is true what was said in the book of Ephesians 5: 21b-33

“Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is head of his wife just as Christ is head of the church, he himself the savior of the body. As the church is subordinate to Christ, so wives should be subordinate to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word, that he might present to himself the church in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. So (also) husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one hates his own flesh but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “For this reason a man shall leave (his) father and (his) mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the church. In any case, each one of you should love his wife as himself, and the wife should respect her husband.”

Marriage is a two way street and we are learning to communicate both verbally and non-verbally. Now abuse is by no means acceptable, “because we are members of his body. “ But Lord knows I know my wife better than for her to throw a few pillows in anger saying words that she did not really mean. I wouldn’t have married her if she was abusive or was not a God-fearing woman and she would have not chosen to marry me if I was a mean husband or was not God fearing as well. Granted some cases of abuse can be traced back when it begins but this is not the case. I did speak to her about my concerns and that we must both learn to keep our tempers. I see us as one flesh where one does effect the other so in essence it is a “we” rather than an “I” or “you.” We don’t have bad tempers but like any human being we do lose our patience at times and as reiterated when those moments happen we must communicate with one another. Avoiding the situation is not going to solve anything so I have learned to be more open and our conversation last night helped bridge the gaps. Behind the humor lessons were learned on both ends. All of us tend to jump to conclusions, make harsh comments, and have our own opinions but God’s Commandments will never change. I can only pray we can all carry our individual crosses follow Christ and rely not on our own strength and lean not on our own understanding but solely rely on the Jesus and His word. We are all part of the Communion of Saints. We are a light of the world so let us focus on the light of Christ.

I will keep you all in my prayers and in my thoughts.

I’ve just read randomly through this thread and am glad to see the OP and his wife are in communication again. That was all that really worried me here, when there is no communication there is no solution.

But I also remembered a very vivid dream I had when 7 months pregnant, that a few months after the baby was born my husband started negotiating for a divorce. I was so hurt in the dream that when I woke up I nearly said to him “Well if that’s what you’re going to want then just pack your bags and leave now!” Lucky he was in the bathroom when I woke up and I had a few moments to remember that I had dreamed. But it was so vivid that it took me the whole day to get the totally imagined hurt out of me. I never told him about this dream and we remained happily married until his death some years ago.

Pregnancy messes with everyone’s head, heart, emotions, hormones and body (ja and women get fat during it, but no one should tell them that  not even as a joke

Rod, may all go well, and always keep the lines of communication open, even if they just seem to be dangling unattended 😉

Is the pillow fight over? ah shucks 😛 I have had the flu and just getting over thank God my sinuses are draining. The first two nights of my flu I had some serious fever and I flung my arms around and knocked the lamp and clock and glass of water off the bedstand and when I awoke in the morning found it all on the floor and nothing broken. I was so surprised I couldn’t believe I did that but I do remember throwing my arms around. I believe my angel kept me from jumping through the window. Now I am better after three weeks and I’m glad I don’t sleep walk anymore. 😛
