Here is a handy guide to the Catholic Mass for you women:
STAY IN THE NAVE. DO NOT COME INTO THE SANCTUARY.
Does your church not have a nave because it was built in a circle, or shaped like an octopus, or in whatever nonTradtional shape was the popular novelty last week? Then my advise is to stay on the side closer to the doors and farther away from the altar. That should be pretty easy, right?
(If you get too confused and your church is too liberal then the alter is that Cranmer Table that the guy in the rainbow stole is saying some watereddown banal fabricated prayers over)

???Was John Paul the Great wrong? I don’t think so. Should he have had the same mind set as St. Paul? He didn’t live 2000 years ago under the same social conditions. St. Paul did not have 2000 years of Church history to mull over. St. Paul is one Apostle. What about your own fully formed conscience where you were required to do some keep personal searching about Truth?

That is not a very Christlike post, but I forgive you anyway. I am just trying to catechize you about age-old Traditional Catholic truths. It’s a Spirital Work of Mercy, so I’m feeling pretty merciful and will overlook the personal insults!I think I remember you from a few years ago. Was your name “banned”?
No. Females. In. The. Sancturary. Its really that simple folks. No females speaking in church either or having authority over men. There are OTHER Christ-ordained spheres for women to excel in, like pregnancy andchild rearing. Sorry if Traditional Catholicism conflicts with the golden calfs and of your Modernist world that the mass media is bringing into your living room every night. The TRUTHS OF GOD will not fail us if holy Men preach it and holy females listen!

My post, which you only partially quote, questions another poster about his bizarre belief that “Women should NOT come face to face with the persona Christi!” I asked - with mild sarcasm - whether he therefore believed women should never face a priest, or if it was sometimes permitted (apart from Mass, perhaps…)

Thank you so much for your attempt to help me learn the appropriate Catechism, however, I’m pretty sure that I can grasp the way that the Church wants be to behave in 2010. I understand how hard it is to be “left behind” when the world moves on and one chooses to live in the past. I would suggest that you might want to take a few classes in theology at the nearest Catholic university - you might be enlightened, and even come to appreciate some of the changes the Church has made in the last 48 years.That is not a very Christlike post, but I forgive you anyway. What part of “the Church does not have the authority to ordain women” do you not understand…even the hero of the modern day Catholic Church, JPII was very, very clear on that. That is something that can not and will not change…despite how much you hope and dream for it to happen.

Sorry to hurt your feelings…but the majority of theology classes being taught today…which I am positive are the ones you are asking him to take, are heretical and not authentically Catholic…they are the cookie cutter, crayon theology classes that teaches that all Christian denominations are equal to Catholicism and we have to learn how to dialogue with them and be sensitive to their plight…forgive me, but I have nothing to apologize about to a heretic…

Okay, I’m too tired and can’t think anymore, so UNCLE!
If it serves you to have women as less holy than men and submissive, then have at it. If John Paul the Great’s paper on women doesn’t fit your rubric, then by all means don’t read it or even ponder it. I cannot compete with the world view of 2000 years ago - what I can do is follow the gospels and what Jesus taught us about how to treat each other on a human basis.

I would leave it to theologians to determine all the times the priest acts in persona Christi but we know for sure at least during the consecration of the Mass.

As I said before, I’m realllllly tired, but, what you are indicating is that theology courses are heretical that don’t agree with YOUR theology. Our pastor just finished teaching at one of the Vatican Colleges in Rome. You can bet that those young seminarians and others know how to think, if not they wouldn’t have been in Rome being taught by a Jesuit.
