Hi everyone,
I’d like to once again make it more clear that : I am not against works, nor the ten commandments, and the judgement of God based on our conducts.
My stress is on HOW we can keep the commandments, since this is the key.
We all know that we are all sinners, so how do we go to heaven?
This is my stress on the matter of FAITH.
Regarding the “Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification with the Lutherans”
The Joint Declaration was signed on 31-Oct 1999 by representatives of Lutheran World Federation and of the Roman Catholic Church in Augsburg, Germany. This comming October will be the 6th anniversary of the declaration.
Both sides has come to a “consensus on the basic truths”. And I am not totally with the idea that this document is “only for ecumenical purpose” without-- from our part-- having to sincerely believe in the points which we have come to an agreement. There are differences but those are no longer a matter of doctrinal condemnations :

You know guys, When I was baptised in the roman catholic church as a girl of 10 year old, I was “sure” of my salvation because of that baptism. And I had never questioned this until a few years ago somebody “very catholic” told me “the difference” of our teaching compared to the protestant’s.
But this did not change my mind about the assurance of Jesus Cross in my salvation. Even as I read about “judgements & punishments”, I am still sure that I will pass those over because of Jesus. So am I a catholic, or is it better that I go to one of the protestant churches and give myself to be rebaptized there?
This is what my heart has resolved : that I am not going to declare my salvation as “unsure” because I know what Jesus has done for me in my life. Am I condemned because of this?
God the Holy Spirit has given a testimony in my life of God’s Love, make me understand God’s Word, giving me more and more of assurance of His Love & Faithfulness to me.
And I believe every word of what Paul wrote here in the most literal meaning :
Romans 8
37 …in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, 9 nor future things, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, 10 nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
bless you all

The Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification:

4.6 The Assurance of Salvation
- The present Joint Declaration has this intention: namely, to show that on the basis of their dialogue the subscribing Lutheran churches and the Roman Catholic Church9 are now able to articulate a common understanding of our justification by God’s grace through faith in Christ. It does not cover all that either church teaches about justification; it does encompass a consensus on basic truths of the doctrine of justification and shows that the remaining differences in its explication are no longer the occasion for doctrinal condemnations.
- Catholics can share the concern of the Reformers to ground faith in the objective reality of Christ’s promise, to look away from one’s own experience, and to trust in Christ’s forgiving Word alone (cf. Matthew 16:19; 18:18) . With the Second Vatican Council, Catholics state: to have faith is to entrust oneself totally to God,(19) who liberates us from the darkness of sin and death and awakens us to eternal life.(20) In this sense, one cannot believe in God and at the same time consider the divine promise untrustworthy. No one may doubt God’s mercy and Christ’s merit. Every person, however, may be concerned about his salvation when he looks upon his own weaknesses and shortcomings. Recognizing his own failures, however, the believer may yet be certain that God intends his salvation.
